Michael Downing Michael Downing 5'11" | CG Rolesville | 2024 State NC , 2024, The Farm (Rolesville)
Downing was one of a few impressive names that shined for The Farm as they made a quest to the championship in their first appearance. He was impressive at the lead guard spot, showing he could get to the paint and make tough shots but also showed off his mid-range and perimeter game. He was a new face that’s earned a spot when rankings update for the 2024 class soon.
Caden Bell Caden Bell 6'2" | CG NC GBBA | 2024 State NC , 2024, NC GBBA
Bell showed off a sleeker frame and much-cleaner game to lead the NC Good Better Best Academy backcourt in their Session III championship. He was a consistent face with the ball in his hands, showing off his ability to operate off the bounce and knock down shots at range. He finished with 14 points in the title game and looks poised for a strong junior season on both ends of the floor.
Isaiah Otyaluk Isaiah Otyaluk 6'7" | SF Word Of God | 2024 State NC , 2024, NC GBBA
Otyaluk was another impressive face in the NC GBBA rotation with his ability to knock shots down with range and finish at the rim. He went off in their semifinal victory over Morrisville Mobb with a game-high 41 points to the tune of seven made 3-pointers to show off his versatility on the wing. He’s a prospect that continues to show his growth in the 2024 class with his ability to operate inside and out and 6-foot-7.
Quentin Cozart Quentin Cozart 6'5" | PF Hillside | 2025 NC , 2025, NC GBBA
Cozart got more and more impressive as the day went on for the NC GBBA Eagles as he acted as their anchor down low and rim-runner on the break. He finished with a team-high 16 points in the championship victory for his squad with a number of nice finishes around the rim. He emerged as a sort of 3rd option for his squad with his length and athleticism at 6-foot-5 on both ends of the floor.
Andrew Grimes Andrew Grimes 6'8" | PF Clayton | 2025 State #307 Nation NC , 2025, Comets (Clayton)
Grimes continues to show off his ability to not only score with the ball around the rim but show off his ability to battle down low for offensive boards and finish in traffic. He was a lot more aggressive in their final game of the day, letting out some of his frustrations from an earlier close loss with some solid buckets in the paint through contact. He continues to show his growth as a young leader for the Comets squad.
