[player_tooltip player_id='1625187' first='Damon' last='Opdahl'] |6'0 PG| Waubay-Summit

He was an All-State player and he led the Mustangs to the State Tournament last year. They were in Class B last season, Waubay-Summit has been moved up to Class A this year. Opdahl is a star PG that is super skilled. He has been getting good interest from GPAC schools that want him to play hoops at the next level. I am excited to see Damon play live for the first time. I am expecting him to be one of the top, if not the best PG's in attendance tomorrow.

[player_tooltip player_id='1625193' first='Elliot' last='Whitney'] |6'0 CG| Sioux Falls Lincoln

Whitney has big scoring ability, he went over 30 in a game last high school season. He can light it up when needed, especially from 3pt land. Elliot is also a creator and a facilitator. He is great with the ball in his hands. He can score off the catch and off the bounce. Elliot plays with a high IQ and he is tough. Lincoln will be a top AA team in SD and tomorrow will be a great way to show that Whitney is ready for a special senior season. If Elliot gets a younger defender on him at the Expo, I am expecting him to take over. He will also be setting up his teammates for great looks. Look for Whitney to be a top backcourt player at Avera.

[player_tooltip player_id='1111886' first='Sam' last='Kobbervig'] |6'2 SG| Central Cass

I have watched him play multiple over the past couple of years and Kobbervig is always improving his game. Sam is a big guard with strength and toughness. He is a standout multi-sport athlete. Kobbervig works hard on his craft and he is a fierce competitor. Central Cass will be a top team in Class B this season and Kobbervig will be one of their stars. I know that Sam is a very efficient scorer inside the arc. I am interested to see how he shoots it from behind the arc tomorrow. It will be fun to see him go up against new competition from South Dakota.

[player_tooltip player_id='1625194' first='Ethen' last='Lincoln'] |6'4 SF| Sioux Falls Lincoln

I have not watched him play live since last year at the 250 Expo. I am interested to see how he has changed physically and how his skills have improved. Lincoln is certainly an impressive athlete that can play above the rim and slam it with authority. Ethen's length and jumping will make him a nice player for the Pats. He is also a standout in track & field as a jumper. If you are looking to watch athletic finishes, you will want to watch Lincoln at the Expo.

[player_tooltip player_id='1625030' first='Malaki' last='Sik'] |6'3 SG| Williston

He had a very nice junior season and Sik was a stat stuffer with 12.1 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 1.7 apg, and 32.9 3FG%. Malaki also improved his game over the course of the AAU season with ECI and coach Sorby. He can certainly score the rock, I am expecting Sik to be putting up points at a nice clip at Avera. As a big guard, Malaki can get his shot off without much trouble, he is also a versatile defender that can match up with guards & forwards. I did not get a chance to see Sik play this summer, I am excited to see his athleticism and what he brings to the table in Sioux Falls.

[player_tooltip player_id='1511374' first='Omar' last='Aly Ahmed'] |6'4 F| Fargo South

I watched him play a couple of times this summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit and with his high school team. Omar is a great team player that leaves it all out on the court. He is a long-armed player that is always around the ball. Ahmed will fight for rebounds and get on the floor for loose balls. His energy and length allow him to be a versatile defender that can play in or out. I am expecting Omar to stick out tomorrow with his NRG and hustle. I am interested to see how he does shooting the ball and if he mainly plays around the paint on offense and/or how much he plays around the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='1138799' first='Trey' last='Hatfield'] |6'5 SG| Oak Grove

This Grover can really shoot it. Hatfield should be one of the best shooters in Sioux Falls on Saturday. At 6'5, Trey can get his jumper off against most defenders. There will be many talented athletes at the Expo, I am hoping that Hatfield can go head-to-head against a few of these top defenders and we might see some fireworks. Hatfield has nice skills and he is crafty at finding ways to get his shot. Looks for him to be a bucket-getter at Avera. I am also interested to see how hard he works on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='1625195' first='Gage' last='Gasca'] |6'7 PF| Sioux Falls Washington

He will be a BIG to keep eyes on at the Expo. He will do the little things around the basket that others don't want to do. Gasca will also use his size and long arms to his advantage around the cup to alter and protect. Gasca also does a nice job rebounding the ball. When he gets a younger/smaller defender on him, look for a quick score from the block. Gage can also step outside and drill 3-pointers. I did not get a chance to check out the BIG from Washington this summer, I will certainly be watching his games Saturday morning.

[player_tooltip player_id='1625175' first='Aiden' last='Jensen'] |6'9 PF| Madison

He is right at the top of my list for players to watch. Jensen has multiple offers from GPAC schools and I imagine that most of the scouts in the gym will be watching Jensen all Saturday morning. I watched Jensen play on film during the AAU season but did catch him playing live. Let's hope we get a Gasca vs. Jensen matchup, that could be a fun one to watch. I am also interested to see if Aiden can dominate against the younger players. He looks athletic on film, I am expecting some physical finishes and some impressive dunks from the BIG Bulldog!
