SubscribeThe G365 Halloween classic kicks off this weekend. The event, which takes place in Anaheim California is part of the Grassroots 365 series. One of the top teams in the event is Vegas Elite’s 2027 squad. The team is competing in the Gold Divison of the 8th-grade bracket, which features 22 teams from around the West. I had a chance to pop in on the team and check out the roster before they head out to California. In this article, we take a look at Vegas Elite.

Dion Parker
Dion Parker
Parker will be making a guest appearance this week as he usually runs with the CM Bulls. The team will need him for his size and rebounding, however a lot of the workout was spent with him showing perimeter skills, including handling and passing during full court drills. He’s talented and performing well in an event like this will go a long way to elevating his name on the radar.

Ilan Nikolov
Ilan Nikolov
Nikolov has been one of the top players for this team for several years. He’s one of the best shooters in Middle School basketball, with one of the prettiest strokes in the game. He showed it off during the workout, knocking down several shots from behind the line and from mid range. He did a couple of quick COD’s during one of the drills that showed an improved handle.

Ricky Bunch
Ricky Bunch
Bunch jumped out at me because of his quickness. I envision him as a jitterbug, paint touch getting PG. He also showed some shiftyness. Bunch has a smooth game, that should allow him to put pressure on defenses after he gets by the initial defender. I didn’t see him shoot it much during the workouts, but he did show some intriguing offensive skills.

Cassius Britt
Cassius Britt
Britt reminded me why it’s important constantly check in on players at this level. He looked like he has hit a growth spurt, making the now 5’9 guard a much tougher matchup. In addition to the eye test, he also showed some skill, knocking down several wing threes during the 3 on 3 portion of the workout.

Jackson Price
Jackson Price
This was my first time seeing Price in a Vegas Elite uniform. He will need to be good as a glue guy this weekend, for the team to make a deep run. I was impressed with his effort on the defensive end, as Jackson showed the ability to guard multiple players, throughout the workout.

William Townsend
William Townsend
Townsend is another glue guy for the team, who should help with additional ballhandling and on ball defense. The quick, playmaking guard highlights the depth of the squad.
