Dylan Marquart Dylan Marquart 6'1" | SG Dunkerton | 2025 State IA | Dunkerton | 2025 – Marquart averaged 5.5 points a game last season for a very good Dunkerton. He is a very smooth shooter, and on a team with Casey Gardner Casey Gardner 5'8" | PG Dunkerton | 2023 State IA and Preston Gillespie Preston Gillespie 6'3" | SF Dunkerton | 2023 State IA , he should get a lot of open looks. He is a very smart combo guard, knows when to make the extra pass, and when to pull up. Dunkerton graduates a couple of seniors but brings back most of their scoring. Look for Marquart to enter the lineup and have a huge impact this season.
Mason Bechen Mason Bechen 6'1" | PG North Linn | 2025 State IA | North Linn | 2025 – Bechen was an important piece off the bench in North Linn’s state championship run last year, but his minutes will pick up this season as three starters graduate. Bechen is a solid scorer inside and out and is a great facilitator. He is a pest on defense, turning steals into fast breaks. Look for him to have a huge sophomore season.
Caleb Haack | Iowa Valley | 2025 – Haack had a very solid freshman season, averaging 11.5 points a game to go with 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks. Haack has a smooth shot from three, can score off the drive, and even in the post. In his first season, he showed he could finish through some contact. He is a very good shot blocker and is able to guard outside and in the post. With Iowa Valley graduating their top two scorers, look for Haack to have a huge year.
Emiliano Barrantes Emiliano Barrantes 6'9" | PF Grand View Christian | 2025 State IA | Grand View Christian | 2025 – At 6’9/6’10, Emiliano has the length to go with it, and uses his frame to play very good defense. He knows when to block a shot, and when to go straight up. On offense, he has a great touch to score around the rim, and can also step out and knock down mid-range shots. Barrantes’ speed for his size and his motor to always compete, give him a chance to be a top big-man in the state.
Isaac Bruns | Sigourney | 2025 – In his freshman season, Bruns averaged 6.1 points a game and 5.0 rebounds. Expect these numbers to go up, as Bruns is a very skilled player, and the Savages graduate three starters. Offensively, Bruns is quick off the dribble and is very capable of finishing at the hoop. He plays hard on both sides of the ball, plays physically, and is always active on the boards.
