Idaho Storm Hooper traveled to Las Vegas to take on some of the best teams in the West. Idaho squad has some dudes that can really score the ball. The team has a mix of 2023-2025 players with a some length. The team is Owyhee High School and they came up with one of the more clever names in the tournament. Owyhee matched up against The Blue Knights who feature one of the best and more electric guards in the country in Mercy Miller. With Mercy Miller heading back to California to play with Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, they are tough. They also have 5-star Caleb Foster heading to Duke next season. This is a great opportunity for the Storm to get better.

Blue Knights (CA) 67- Owyhee (60)

[player_tooltip player_id='1108098' first='Titus' last='Bailey'] || Owyhee || 2023 ||

Impressive once agains as he does get after it defensively but he is shooting the ball really well causing either an open floor as you have to stay by him or his man will help on a drive and he will get some good quality shots up, even in transition. The way that this kid competes regardless of the score or the players he is going up against is impressive.

[player_tooltip player_id='1568017' first='Liam' last='Campbell'] || Owyhee || 2024 ||

Liam is not normally the primary ball handler as they have a few players on the roster that can bring the ball up, but he did take it upon himself to clear or release that pressure. Liam was being guarded very much all game by some players that can match his size and movement but he finds ways to score. There a few times when he ends up at the top of the key and I think he is effective there because it gives him space. Another impressive aspect of his game is his post up game. He will even work players in the post bigger than him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1594160' first='Barrett' last='Fernandez'] || Owyhee || 2023 ||

Undersized most of the night he was tough. He attracts a lot of attention which will either lead to him making a tough bucket or him finding an open player. Owyhee has a lot of players that have high IQ's that know how to get to the free-throw-line. They do well there so And 1's could demoralize teams as will fouling them and putting them on the line. At the end of the game Owyhee went to a 2-3 zone that slowed The Blue Knights down a bit but it wasn't enough.
