Following are seven new upperclassmen names that caught my eye broken down by class.

Bradlee VanBrunt 6-1 Onsted As a program Onsted has had no problem producing next level post prospects. But this bouncy prospect turned my attention to the backcourt on Sunday. Seemingly played bigger than his listed height due to his lanky build. Showed this off with a big block out in transition. Competed hard all day. Especially on the defensive end. Offensively showed the ability to run the point. Though it might not be his natural position yet. Was a fearless penetrator who sought out contact. Type of prospect that I wish was a grade younger. But could fill out late and have big senior season

[player_tooltip player_id='1076044' first='Quentin' last='Hillaker'] 6-1 Marine City Cardinal Mooney (pictured) Not necessarily a new name. Has been pretty active on the fall showcase circuit. But this was the best I had seen him play. Excellent shooter with decent size. When defenders ran him off the three point line. Used his thick frame to absorb contact on drives. Also showed the ability to play the point when needed. Playing at a small parochial school. Could be in line for a big statistical campaign

[player_tooltip player_id='1352952' first='Jamar' last='Bibbs'] 6-5 Melvindale Took a little bit for this player to get going. But when it did. He got going in a big way. Didn't really pop in the in drill stations. However when the scrimmages tipped. Bibbs showed his versatile offensive skill set. Looking every bit of 6-5 with excellent length. Long strider who covered a lot of space on the court. Showed the ability to play multiple positions, including the point. Rose smoothly in the mid range to hit a jumper. While he was explosive in the open court. Also showed good body control by securing a few difficult passes out in transition. Had a creative reverse finish from the left side. Can definitely fill out a bit more physically and add strength. Interesting to see how his senior season plays out. Could be a late blooming prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1431576' first='Karl' last='Stevens'] 6-3 Richmond Similarly to Bibbs. The light for this guard came on during the 5-on-5 scrimmages. Has a sturdy athletic build for a guard and moves well for his size. Showed a nice touch from beyond the arc. Also displayed good ball handling ability as well. With his frame can also play down low.

[player_tooltip player_id='986251' first='Ty' last='Kohlmann'] 6-4 New Lothrop Like Hillaker, Kohlmann has been an active participant on the showcase circuit. Sunday was the best I have seen the Flint area forward play. Height allowed him to easily to shoot over defenders in the post. Also showed a nice step back. Good enough ball handler to take a board and go coast to coast. Also moved well off the ball. Solid all around player with an excellent academic profile.

[player_tooltip player_id='1356978' first='Jaden' last='Turner'] 6-5 Farmington Stocky but powerfully built player was one of the better overall athletes in the camp. Held his own and then some with a group of older and bigger posts during the drill stations. However really shined out in transition during the scrimmages. Easily finished well above the rim. Also showed a surprising ability to handle the ball in space. Type of player seasoned head coach Derrick McDowell has had a lot of success with in this past.

[player_tooltip player_id='2823482' first='Benjamin' last='Smith'] 6-4 Williamston Coming off a state championship. A lot of change is afoot in the Hornets program for the upcoming season. With nearly every contributor graduating and a new coach. One might think the cupboard is bare. This lanky forward and a few of his teammates showed that is not necessarily the case. Competed hard down low despite a very slender frame. But also showed good ball skills out on the perimeter. Similarly built teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1587830' first='Hudson' last='Hunt'] also had a good day.
