Here is a look at some of the newcomers in the newly updated rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1571715' first='Jay' last='Reynolds'] (Cape Girardeau Central): A 6'3" shooting guard who comes to Cape Central from Ohio. He joined the Gateway-Knights UA 16U squad in mid-summer and had some very productive games. He good size and he's a versatile offensive player who can drive the ball, create off the dribble and hit perimeter jumpers. His presence will bolster the Tigers' hopes as a contender in Class 5.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1571730' first='Bryce' last='Spiller'] (Lutheran North): A 6'4" shooting guard who transfers to North from Edwardsville, IL in metro east St. Louis, where he will play for his father, who is the Crusaders' new head coach. He is a talented perimeter shooter who has really built up his body in the past couple of years to become a well-rounded offensive player with the ability to attack the basket and score in the lane. He averaged a team-high 12 points a game at Edwardsville as a sophomore.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1579852' first='Grant' last='Redd'] (St. Pius X): A 5'9" point guard who has been a two-year standout at St. Pius X as the floor leader. He helped lead St. Pius to a Class 4 Final Four as a freshman in 2021. He averaged 12 points and four assists a game as a sophomore. He is a table-setter who can distribute the basketball, but he can also create his own shot and knock down 3-pointers. He played with the VWBA-YOBO 16Us during the summer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1571724' first='LaTroy' last='Atkins'] (Cape Girardeau Central): A 6'6" power forward who is one of the most impressive athletes in the SEMO area. He has a high motor and he plays above the rim on the regular. He has a very effective jump hook in the paint and he can rebound and run the court. He had an excellent summer with the SEMO Select 16U squad.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1571723' first='Antwan' last='Franklin'] (Miller Career Academy): A 6'4" wing player who is solidly built with impressive athleticism and versatility. He has very solid playmaking skills with his ability to handle the ball and make good decisions. He can make the open 3-pointer and attack the basket against bigger defenders. He can also guard multiple positions on the defensive end.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1571721' first='Lee' last='Williams'] (University City): A 6'5" wing who is an impressive athlete with a solid overall skill set. He plays very well in the transition game where he can run the court and attack the basket on the move. He's very fluid on the move when he attacks on the dribble or when he hits the pull up jumper. He played with the Gateway UA 16Us during the summer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1571725' first='Judd' last='Thoma'] (Jackson): A 6'4" wing guard who plays a good all-purpose game. He plays a game that flows well in a team concept because he keeps the ball moving on offense and he is always moving and cutting. He is a capable ball handler who can score in a variety of ways. He rebounds the ball well and plays good position defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
