We had the opportunity to see some very talented freshman prospects who will definitely make an impact in their respective high school programs at some time. Here is a look at some of those top Class of 2026 players who caught our eye.
Parker Seithel (Rockhurst): A 6’7″ forward who was very impressive with his versatility and overall skill set on the perimeter. He plays the Stretch 4 role perfectly with his ability to knock down 3-pointers off the pick and pop. He hit four triples in the one game that I watched him. He also displayed his skill when he grabbed a rebound and took it coast to coast to score on a finger roll layup. He passes the ball well and he can score around the basket with a nice shooting touch.
Brody Owen Brody Owen 6'3" | PG Marquette | 2026 State MO (Marquette): A talented 6’0″ point guard who plays with a cool and calm demeanor on the court. He is very confident in his skill set, which exudes a lot of swag. His handles were smooth and he did a nice job of setting up his defenders before making his move, whether it was a downhill drive to the basket or a step-back 3-pointer. He sees the court very well as he delivered some very nifty passes in the half court offense. His overall feel for the game was very impressive.
Will Salonies Will Salonies 6'0" | PG Holt | 2026 State MO (Wentzville Holt): A 5’11” point guard who looked very smooth and very poised in the one game that I watched him. He moved at his own pace and he didn’t let himself get sped up at any time. He has a quick first step to get by defenders into the lane or he can break them down with a creative escape move to get his own shot. He also knocked down a pair of 3-pointers on successive possessions. He is also an alert defender who can move his feet and anticipate in the passing lanes.
Abraham Nayou Abraham Nayou 6'0" | PG Maplewood Richmond Heights | 2026 State MO (Maplewood): A 5’11” point guard who could play fast, but was also under control at all times. He was very effective at breaking down defenders with a variety of moves, plus being left-handed also worked to his advantage. He could blow by his man or his stop and go move would simply freeze the defender as he converted a layup in the lane. If you back off of him or leave him open, he could hit the perimeter jumper to keep defenders honest.
Brady Thompson Brady Thompson 6'4" | C Kingston | 2026 State MO (Kingston): A 6’4″ combo forward who goes about his business with an old-school flair to it. He operates well in the low post with a variety of ways to score along with some excellent footwork. He makes good uses of fakes and he can score over either shoulder. He can also step out and knock down a perimeter jumper and he looked comfortable handling the ball when he had the opportunity.
Devaughn Ware (Cardinal Ritter): A 5’5″ point guard who was one of the smallest players at the event, but that didn’t stop him from having a big impact. First, he showcased a nice shooting stroke with range from well-beyond the 3-point line. He was very confident when he let it fly. He also displayed some very good court vision. delivered a couple of beautiful no-look passes in transition that led to easy layups.
