Section 8AAAA Rundown
I would say that five different teams have a chance to form the right chemistry and catch lightning in a bottle like the Spuds did last year and make a run. Each of Moorhead (Jenkins), Elk River (Osterman), Buffalo (Dahl), Brainerd (Pecarich), and Bemidi (Severts) have a player to lead, players coming back, and young talent on the way up that will give them the depth to be a state tournament team. But which one avoids injuries and forms the needed chemistry? That is the big question. Moorhead has the edge with last year’s run and the section’s best player (Jenkins) but any of those five teams could be playing in Minneapolis in March.
