St. John's (DC) guard [player_tooltip player_id='957026' first='Malik' last='Mack'] announced his commitment and shortly after, Gonzaga forward Thomas Batties announced his. The 2023 duo has experience playing alongside each other from their terrific run over the summer representing Team Takeover where they appearance in the Peach Jam title game. Mack is a savvy, left-handed combo guard who can knock down the deep ball and posseses solid basketball IQ. The 6'7 forward brings a frame that will match the physicality of the Division I level along with a versatile offensive skill set for his position. He can operate with his back to the basket, take his man off the bounce in face-up scenarios or be a pick-and-pop threat. Gillus is one of the most overlooked prospect in DMV senior class in my opinion. His resume and ability to orchestrate a team to play winning basketball is rare at the point guard position.
