Preseason Player of the Year: 2023 [player_tooltip player_id='1167690' first='Jaixen' last='Frost'] (Mount Ayr)

Frost has established himself as one of the state's elite scoring threats, averaging north of 22 points a game as a junior for the Raiders. They figure to be the best team in the conference this year, and Frost is far and away the most dynamic player in the league.

First Team

2023 [player_tooltip player_id='1167690' first='Jaixen' last='Frost'] (Mount Ayr): 22.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 steals, 53.3 FG%, 40.3 3P%, 85.3 FT%

A high IQ 6-2 combo guard, Frost impacts the game on both ends of the floor with his size and talent. He scores at a highly efficient clip, rebounds well, and gets others involved while protecting the rock.

2023 [player_tooltip player_id='1367457' first='Boston' last='Devault'] (Nodaway Valley): 16.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 3.3 steals

A high-volume scorer who can fill it up from all three levels, Devault is also a major pest on the defensive end, using his quick feet and hands to jump passing lanes or pick ball-handlers clean and turn defense into offense.

2023 [player_tooltip player_id='1240108' first='Jack' last='Scrivner'] (Central Decatur): 9.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.1 steals, 2.0 blocks

Scrivner is undersized for a traditional big man at 6-2, but he's an impact player on the defensive end, blocking two shots a game and altering several others. He stuffs the stat sheet on both ends of the floor and should have a big senior year following the graduations of several key pieces from last year's team.

2025 Gabe Funk (Lenox): 13.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals, 46.3 FG%

Funk was one of the most productive freshmen in the state last year, averaging over 13 points a game and showing that he can score from all three levels. He's an active guard who contributes on the glass in a major way.

2024 Rayce Snyder (Wayne): 14.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals

Wayne won just five games last season but Snyder was a bright spot. A 6-0 wing who can score in bunches, he's also a strong rebounder on both ends of the floor.
