The top ten has a new look to it but a lot of it remains the same. [player_tooltip player_id='970120' first='Chris' last='Lockett'] is the top player in this class and has been since his freshman season.
The summer brought out the best in a lot of the 2023 recruits. Along with the top ten, the top twenty saw quite a few changes as well. One of the most notable was [player_tooltip player_id='1213680' first='Jordan' last='Trahan'] of Country Day in Metairie. He climbed to the 12th position in the rankings. He is followed by one of the biggest stock risers of the summer in Sterlington big man [player_tooltip player_id='1273398' first='Cardez' last='Norman'] at 13. [player_tooltip player_id='970126' first='Omarion' last='Layssard'] or Northwood-Lena and [player_tooltip player_id='1273359' first='Elliot' last='Mcquillan'] of Port Allen enter the top twenty. Harold was another player who saw his ranking jump tremendously after a productive summer.

The rankings had a major face lift with several top players leaving to go the prep school route. Corey Chest, Tyler Ringgold, and Chilaydrien Newton all have migrated to other states. This has allowed other players to receive more notoriety.
