Zach comes into his senior year ready to take the reigns of the Spark Park squad and try to lead them to a deep run in the playoffs. He has good size on the perimeter, and his strength is shooting. He is a lengthy guard that will have to show the evolution of his game, as this will be a year that he will have to show his versatility on the offensive end of the floor. He moves up 17 spots from the #28-spot and now sits as the #11-ranked player in the state. Look for Zach to put up some elite-level numbers this year, as he will be the primary source of offense for the Jaguars.

Look for Zach to put up some elite-level numbers this year, as he will be the primary source of offense for the Jaguars.
Terry J. He has moved up and an eye-popping 52 spots from #67 to #15. If you look at the top 15 in the '23 rankings, you will see that Grissom has 3 seniors in the top 15. Surprisingly, they are still not the favorite to win the state championship, nor are they considered the best team in Huntsville and the surrounding area. He is listed as a 6'4 PG, which could be the x-factor for Grissom headed into the season. He is capable of orchestrating the offense and taking the responsibility of handling the rock off of [player_tooltip player_id='833333' first='RJ' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1564710' first='Izzy' last='Miles']. He is a good passer off the bounce and if he can step into being a consistent playmaker off the bounce and be a force on the defensive end with his size and versatility, look for Grissom to possibly prove the naysayers wrong. When Darrin completed our profile form in June, he did not list any offers at the time.

He is capable of orchestrating the offense and taking the responsibility of handling the rock off of [player_tooltip player_id='833333' first='RJ' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1564710' first='Izzy' last='Miles'].
Terry J. His athleticism is by far what separates him from many in his class. He jumps 2-spots up since our last rankings, and many question if we have him too low. Many say Sparkman has lost too much, and Will will have to carry a heavy load in his final year in high school. Well, the smooth combo guard with an excellent middle game will definitely be up to the challenge. I spoke with Will a couple of weeks ago, and he doesn't have any offers yet, but I am sure that it will not be long before someone decides to help their program and offer Will, a prolific scorer with a lot of athleticism.

Well, the smooth combo guard with an excellent middle game will definitely be up to the challenge.
Terry J. I have to admit that at the time of our last rankings, we had not laid eyes on this highly talented player from Scottsboro. However, since then, we have seen this point-forward that has a great handle, is a big-time playmaker, can score the rock at all levels and is an elite passer. I spoke with him recently, and he informed me that he does not have any offers at the time. I have to admit this is a shocker because he will definitely benefit a program at the next level; the question now is who will jump on him first. He is our #17-ranked player and a lengthy scorer who can put up numbers with the best of them.

He is our #17-ranked player and a lengthy scorer who can put up numbers with the best of them.
Terry J. Many say that Xzayvion could easily be considered one of his class's top 10 players in the state. He is a CG that balances scoring and facilitating. He can get you buckets, as he is a volume scorer, and when he is attacking off the bounce, he is one of the quickest in the state, as he has possibly the quickest first step in the state. He moves up 20-spots and is now the #19-ranked player in the state, and some, as I mentioned, feel as though this ranking is way too low. He is currently sitting on one offer from Birmingham-Southern, and I can easily see him having multiple offers come his way throughout his senior year.

Many say that Xzayvion could easily be considered one of his class's top 10 players in the state.
Terry J. The 2023 rankings for the state have been released. Let's look at the movement that occurred from #11-#20.
