One of the best parts of basketball is the one-two punch. A great basketball duo has long been associated with success, and these New England duos are worth watching. It's the best part of basketball: watching one player do one thing spectacularly, and the running mate doing something equally mesmerizing. Let's break down some of the region's finest duos.

[player_tooltip player_id='1081852' first='TJ' last='Power'] & [player_tooltip player_id='1081868' first='Tre' last='Norman'] (Worcester Academy)

The duo of Power and Norman is stellar, as Power's elite shooting touch and Norman's aggressive style compliment each other well. Power, one of the most highly-recruited players in New England, is a 6'8" wing that can do a little bit of everything. With offers from high-end programs such as Duke and North Carolina, Power forms one of the deadliest duos in the area with Norman, who's also been highly-recruited. It's hard to find two players that work off each other much better than these two. You can oftentimes find Norman slashing to the basket while Power relocates to the corner or cuts. Norman will then pass to his teammate for the easy bucket. The offensive firepower Power and Norman bring to Worcester Academy is unmatched.

[player_tooltip player_id='1477797' first='Trey' last='Boyd'] & [player_tooltip player_id='1477947' first='Isaiah' last='Watts'] (South Kent)

While South Kent is led by [player_tooltip player_id='1203898' first='Papa' last='Kante'], the backcourt of Boyd and Watts is the true x-factor for the team. Boyd and Watts are both listed at 6'4" and 6'3" respectively, making them physical, lengthy guards that bring a ton of juice on both ends of the court. Boyd and Watts's skillsets are fairly similar - they're both lights out 3-point shooters, especially Boyd who has a picture-perfect release and form. Both Boyd and Watts are ascending, and their stock is heading in the right direction. The backcourt of South Kent is in the good hands of Boyd and Watts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1468246' first='Jack' last='Margoupis'] & [player_tooltip player_id='1477861' first='Jonathan' last='Guerrier'] (Cushing Academy)

Committed to Albany, Margoupis has been highly underrated through his time in high school playing for Cushing Academy. He's a skilled 6'8" wing that is very crafty and creative with the basketball. He's super skilled considering the frame and size. He's a sneaky-good athlete, with good bounce and solid quickness. But, the real athlete of the duo is Guerrier, who is capable of jumping out of the gym with his elite bounce and high-level acceleration. He's an amazing athlete, a high level competitor, and the jumper and offensive ability is progressing in the right direction. The tandem of Margoupis and Guerrier are set to make Cushing Academy highly competitive.

[player_tooltip player_id='1477890' first='Elijah' last='Kinney'] & [player_tooltip player_id='1489321' first='Edrick' last='Quezada'] (Brimmer and May)

Kinney stands at 6'8" and Quezada has a 6'5" frame. Both players are incredibly long, athletic, and versatile. For opponents, this will certainly cause some problems as both Kinney and Quezada can guard multiple positions, play on-ball or off-ball, and simply do a bit of everything. Kinney, who is in the Class of 2023, can shoot it from deep but is also a force to be reckoned with in the interior. Quezada, who is the Class of 2024, is a smaller wing but can still give you quality minutes as an off-ball player. He's an excellent cutter and consistently plays hard. The combination of Kinney and Quezada, along with [player_tooltip player_id='1081871' first='Bryce' last='Dortch'], are the three pillars for Brimmer and May this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1106073' first='Nahkeem' last='Singleton'] & Jahmari Hamilton-Brown (Malden Catholic)

The scoring punch that Singleton and Hamilton-Brown provide is high-level stuff. Hamilton-Brown is an amazing, effective 3-point shooter. Against Catholic Memorial last season, he hit seven 3-pointers to cap off a 32-point performance. As for Singleton, he scored 25 points for Burke High School in a matchup against New Mission. Both are true, true offensive weapons. But, both Singleton and Hamilton-Brown can get it done defensively. Both are listed at 6'7" and both use their length and pure athleticism to their advantage. Overall, with Singleton and Hamilton-Brown, Malden Catholic won't have a shortage of offensive weapons. But, it's their impact on defense that will truly determine how far Malden Catholic goes.
