The Jersey Shore Predators are one of those teams and, in their latest workout, had players stand out in a big way. Here are the top standouts from the Jersey Shore Predators Workout.
Nick Valentino Nick Valentino 6'0" | PG Red Bank Regional | 2023 State NJ , 6’0 PG Red Bank Regional 2023
Valentino had a strong showing at the workout as he showed his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. The 6’0 guard attacked the basket with a purpose as he used his handle to get to the paint and draw contact. Valentino moved well without the ball in his hands and showed a nice release on his jumper. He fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor and made good passes in the half court. Valentino is a gritty guard prospect whose ability to score and run the offense will help his stock in a big way.
Jaycen Santucci Jaycen Santucci 6'4" | SG Central Regional | 2025 State NJ , 6’1 SG Central Regional 2025
Santucci had a standout day as he stood out throughout the workout. The 6’1 guard was able to get to his spot on the floor at will and was able to create space off the bounce. Santucci blew by his defenders with his quick first step and made a couple of tough layups around the basket. He showed the potential to defend multiple positions on the floor and moved well without the ball in his hands. Santucci is slated for a breakout season for Central with his ability to score the ball in a variety of ways.
Dylan Csik Dylan Csik 5'10" | PG Middletown South | 2023 State NJ , 5’11 PG Middletown South 2023
Csik had a good showing at the workout as he was tough to stop during the game sets. The 5’11 guard has a good handle, which he used to blow by his defender and finish around the basket. Csik shot the ball with confidence from behind the arc and wasted little motion in his shot. He made smart decisions with the ball in his hands and worked hard on the defensive end. Csik makes plays with the ball in his hands and should have a big senior season for Middletown South.
Brian Farrell Brian Farrell 6'1" | SG Donovan Catholic | 2023 State NJ , 6’1 SG Donovan Catholic 2023
Farrell played great at the workout as he played with confidence throughout the night. The 6’1 guard was relentless attacking the basket as he was consistently getting into the paint and made shots through contact. Farrell got to his spot on the floor and showed off a nice release on his jumper. He showed the potential to run the offense in spots and played solid defense. Farrell will be the go-to guy for Donovan Catholic this season and should be one to watch in Ocean County in 2022-23.
Jason Larned Jason Larned 6'1" | SG Manasquan | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 SG Manasquan 2024
Larned stayed for both workout sessions and made an impact throughout the night. The lanky 6’2 guard used his handle to get into the paint and finished nicely around the basket. Larned made good decisions with the ball in his hands during the workout and has a good touch on his shot. He showed the potential to defend multiple positions on the floor and was unafraid of contact. Larned’s combination of length and skill makes him an intriguing prospect to watch in the 2024 class.
