There were plenty of big time matchups, college coaches in attendance and a great atmosphere for preseason basketball.
We take a look at part one of some of the top juniors that were in attendance for session two.
If you want to watch the entire event, you can see it here.
Luke Fisher Luke Fisher 6'0" | PG Trinity Episcopal | 2023 State VA | 6’1” CG | Trinity Episcopal
Fisher was very good for TES who drew a couple of tough matchups, but he showed out and made a name for himself with his ability to score the basketball in a lot of different ways. He shot it well from deep both off the catch and from deep, he showed good change of pace and wiggle off the bounce and he’s a crafty finisher who can finish in traffic and in the midrange well.
Leland Coleman Leland Coleman 6'6" | SF Trinity Episcopal | 2023 State VA | 6’6” WF | Trinity Episcopal
Coleman showed flashes of what makes him so intriguing of a prospect, as he simply is able to do things that others can’t do at times and if he’s able to put it all together consistently he’ll be a steal for someone at the next level. Coleman has long arms and is very bouncy meaning he can meet people at the rim defensively or go finish over someone on the offensive end, he can get deflections and steals and he has shown at times good shot creating ability off the bounce for himself.
Joe Baldwin Joe Baldwin 6'7" | SF Fairfax Christian | 2023 State VA Jr. | 6’6” F | Fairfax Christian
Baldwin is another super athlete who is a hybrid forward that is chock full of potential moving forward as he continues to polish his perimeter skillset and become more consistent. When it comes to electric plays there aren’t many that drop jaws quite as often as Baldwin does as he’s good for at least a couple thunderous throw downs or big time blocks, he has improved in his ability to knock down shots from the corners and in the midrange and he doesn’t force things and plays well within he system.
Kyir Pendleton | 6’5” PF | Mr. C’s Fastbreak
Pendleton was a new name to know of from a smaller school in the 757 in Smithfield, but the 6’5” big man made a mark at session 2 of the CBG Fall Series with his high motor and athletic style of play. He’s strong in the paint and fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor, he ran the floor hard and showed good athleticism with some above the rim finishes and he showed good scoring ability in the mid-post and around the rim.
Fallou Koite | 6’6” WF | Mt. Zion
Koite continues to impress at the Fall Series after a stellar performance in session one and followed it up with a big time performance in session 2 as well. The 6’6” wing has prototypical size for his position at the next level, he’s very active with his long arms getting deflections and steals defensively, he can put it on the deck and get to spots to score it efficiently from multiple levels and he has good feel and vision as a playmaker off the bounce too.
Isiah Alexander | 6’1” CG | Mt. Zion
Alexander was the x-factor for Mt. Zion in session 2 as the strong combo guard showed his ability to score it and make plays for others consistently in their uptempo system. He isn’t the quickest or most explosive guy but he plays with good pace, he moves well off the ball cutting for easy buckets and he is great with his first step in his initial catch and rip situations, he made shots from all over and he made great decisions too.
