Radek Homer Radek Homer 6'0" | SG Mountain Vista | 2023 State CO dominated in the showcase setting showing that he was the best athlete at the event. Radek got downhill with ease and diced and sliced his way through defenders at the rim using euro-steps to get past defenders. He used his vertical bounce to finish over and around defenders. Radek overpowered other guards and could not be thrown off balance when driving to the bucket. While he scored very well he also showed off his passing vision finding cutting teammates.
Eli Robinson Eli Robinson 6'6" Lewis Palmer | 2023 CO – Lewis-Palmer
Eli Robinson Eli Robinson 6'6" Lewis Palmer | 2023 CO showed off his deep scoring bag during the showcase. Eli showed off his combo-forward ability dominating inside of the paint. In the post, he showed off great patience, slick moves, and a soft touch on shots. He was a good rim runner who got out and finished on fastbreaks. Eli also did a very good job following his own shot for offensive rebounds where if he missed a lay up he’d likely be there for the second chance opportunity.
Colin Hayes Colin Hayes 6'4" | SF Fossil Ridge | 2023 State CO – Fossil Ridge
Colin Hayes Colin Hayes 6'4" | SF Fossil Ridge | 2023 State CO stood out with his ability to affect the game on both ends of the floor. On the defensive end of the floor, Colin brought great effort when guarding on the ball and had great instincts playing help defense. Colin’s instincts, long wingspan, and athleticism allowed him to block a lot of shots and be one of the top rim protectors of the showcase. Offensively, he scored from all three levels and did an especially good job finishing around the rim. Most importantly Colin just plays hard a skill that is hard to teach.
Uk Onyenwere Uk Onyenwere 6'6" Grandview | 2023 CO – Grandview
Uk Onyenwere Uk Onyenwere 6'6" Grandview | 2023 CO showed off his unique combination of size and skill. UK has the handles to play from the wing and the frame that allowed him to be one of the top rebounders at the event. When grabbing rebounds, he does a good job of quickly looking up the floor for an outlet pass where he can make touchdown-style passes to players leaking out on the fastbreak. UK toyed with defenders as he has sneaky good handles and makes no-look passes that catch the defense out of position. He also spread the floor knocking down three-point shots on and off of the dribble.
Tyler Brown Tyler Brown 5'10" | SG Fossil Ridge | 2023 State CO – Fossil Ridge
Tyler Brown Tyler Brown 5'10" | SG Fossil Ridge | 2023 State CO is a small 3 and D guard who starred in his role during the showcase. While Tyler is a smaller guard he was one of the best on-ball defenders due to his great instincts and quick feet that allowed him to stay in front of anyone. He did a good job finding spots on the perimeter and knocking down three-point shots with great efficiency. At the rim, he used his elite vertical bounce to finish tough shots through contact. Tyler’s high basketball IQ is especially what stands out when watching him play.
