Arsenal Hoops Fall League 2023 Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the top Class of 2023 standouts from last Saturday's first day of the Arsenal Hoops Fall League in Wentzville.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nathan Bobikiewicz (Wentzville Liberty): The 6'5" forward was a matchup nightmare as he scored a game-high 21 points to lead his team to a win in the opening game. He is big and strong enough to score in the paint and he combines it with a nice perimeter skill set. He attacks the basket with a lot of authority and he finishes well. He can also knock down 3-pointers off the pick and pop and he can also create his own shot off the dribble. His motor is also always running.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1440686' first='Ethan' last='Fauss'] (Clayton): The 6'7" forward showed why he is one of the most skilled players in the St. Louis area on the offensive end. He displayed a smooth shooting stroke with six 3-pointers in his 30-point performance. He release is quick and there is no wasted motion in his shot. He is also very skilled as a passer and ball handler. He did a nice job of putting the ball on the floor and scoring on the drive. He was one of the biggest stock risers in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Michael Berry (Gateway City): The 6'3" guard was one of the most impressive athletes that I watched during the first day of action. He scored 23 points with most of them coming on slashing drives to the basket. He showed some flashy handles, including a nice crossover move to get by defenders in addition to his burst. He also dropped some nice dimes on the move to cutting teammates. Late in the game, he also added a couple of perimeter jumpers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ashton Long (Wentzville Liberty): A 5'8" point guard who has good quickness and he played with a ton of energy. He was really attacking the basket with his burst of speed and finishing in the lane against bigger defenders. He also rebounded the ball very well for a young man of his size. He is also a tenacious defender who was sitting down and moving his feet and also picking pockets with his quick hands.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Blake Cunningham (Wentzville Liberty): A 6'1" wing guard who looked very impressive in my first look at him in person. He's an athletic player who scored on some nice drives to the basket and he knocked down a few 3-pointers. His stop-and-go move was very effective. He is also a solid rebounder and defensive player who competes with a lot of energy.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
