Continue Reading(Up from No. 81) Schools will eventually fall in love with Cameron’s length, athleticism and most importantly, his motor. Kelly plays extremely hard inside, competing for every rebound and contesting every shot. He’s a solid offensive threat that knows how to score on the low block and can stretch out and shoot the jumper. Kelly’s at his best when he’s aggressive. He is extending his off the dribble arsenal. His defense is exceptional.
(Up from No. 111) Evan Daniel Evan Daniel 6’7″ | SF North Cobb | 2023 State GA is starting to reach his potential. The 6-foot-7 wing is an impressive athlete with a diverse skill set. The lefty has a smooth jumper and is willing to take his man to the low block to score with hook shots. Daniel has the upside to defend 1-5. Maine is the first D-I school to offer.
Highlights
(Up from No. 152) Sometimes lost in the shuffle playing alongside four other D-I guards, Ashton Pennamon Ashton Pennamon 6’0″ | PG Newton | 2023 State GA is most certainly a key cog in Newton’s title hopes. He’s a savvy veteran that does a good job protecting the ball. Over the summer with his running mates all held out, Pennamon proved he could carry the load offensively. Ashton can light it up with deep range off the dribble.
(Up from No. 109) Jeremiah is an explosive athlete that loves getting to the rim. Taylor crashes the offensive glass hard and will score on tip-ins and putbacks. His outside shot has improved over the summer. Taylor has major experience heading into his senior season.
(Up from No. 96) Jay Boyd Jay Boyd 6’2″ | SG Hiram | 2023 State GA is climbing the charts after a strong offseason. The 3.6 GPA student picked up his first offer from Georgia College. Boyd is a well-rounded scorer that is very good at finishing downhill. Jay has electric leaping ability to pair with a reliable mid-range jumper.
(Up from No. 125) Toccoa Falls and Oglethorpe have offered the toolsy wing. Pittman is a high energy player that affects games on both ends of the floor. He likes to slash to the rim and use his athleticism to score inside, but also has shown the ability to connect with his three-point shot. Pittman is a consistent rebounder. He has versatility on defense.
(Up from No. 166) D-II schools have begun tracking Soloman. His length, size, mobility and leaping ability are all attractive traits, well above-average. Mustafa-Reid is a great rim runner that will catch lobs in transition. He blocks shots and can rebound in a crowd.
Highlights
(Up from No. 147) Social Circle was one of the best stories in the state last year. With an integral 2022 class out the door, LJ Jackson looks prime to take the next step. He had some explosive outputs in June, scoring from all three levels all while stuffing the stat sheet. Jackson rebounds, defends and facilitates at a high level. Lamarius could be a frontrunner for Most Improved Player this upcoming season.
