The event featured plenty of talented players from Missouri and Iowa. Our first write-up will feature the “Starting Five” of Missouri players who stood out at the camp.
Winston Allen Winston Allen 6'5" | SF Oak Park | 2023 State MO (Oak Park): The athletic 6’5″ 2023 wing was very impressive at both ends of the court. In the first game I watched him, he started off with a transition 3-pointer, then followed up with a baseline drive and reverse layup. That just jump-started his day as he produced buckets at all three levels while also playing his normal high motor. He was attacking the boards hard and hustling after loose balls.
Kobi Williams Kobi Williams 6'4" | SG Westminster | 2023 State MO (Westminster Christian): The 6’3″ 2023 guard was one of the top players at the came as he showcased his two-way prowess. He was equally effective as a playmaker and scoring threat with the ball in his hands. He attacked the basket and scored on some very athletic takes while also hitting mid-range jumpers and 3-pointers. He was always under control with his movements on the court. He was also impacting the game on defense as he played the passing lanes well and kept himself in the right position to provide help to his teammates.
Mason Dunlap Mason Dunlap 6'0" | PG Eureka | 2024 State MO (Eureka): The 2024 point guard was excellent as he displayed his playmaking skills and scoring ability. He walked the fine line between distributing the basketball to his teammates and going to get buckets and he did it expertly. He had good pace, smooth handles and he dropped some impressive dimes in the halfcourt and in transition. He was also knocking down 3-pointers and pull up jumpers on the move.
Xander Salas Xander Salas 5'11" | PG Green City | 2025 State MO (Green City): It was my first time seeing this 5’9″ 2025 point guard in action and I was very impressed with his overall play. As a Class 1 player going against a lot of bigger school players, he had no problem competing and getting things done. His pace was excellent as he constantly pushed the ball. His mid-range jumper was butter as he was constantly getting to his spot and pulling up for the jumper. He was dropped some nice dimes off his dribble penetration.
Quinn Blackburn (Pacific): The 6’8″ 2023 forward did a nice job of showcasing his versatile skill set. He had a soft shooting touch in the low post and a variety of moves inside with his good footwork. He moves well with his big body as he plays with an effective combination and strength and finesse. He also had a good turn and face game from the perimeter and he could step out and hit the open 3-pointer.
