Already standing roughly 6’1, Wilhelm is a highly motivated shooting guard capable out muscling opponents. The incoming junior made waves throughout the summer given his two-way physicality, priority on defense, and shooting consistency off the catch. One notable area of Wilhelm’s came on the boards, where he was constantly looking to crash the glass. With the ball, he is capable driving past hard closeouts for physical finishes through contact. One area of intrigue resides with his full court playmaking, where he is always looking for outlet passes and pushing the pace. Wilhelm currently sits at 16th in the class and 3rd among shooting guards.
Carson Keach Carson Keach 6'2" | SG Ponderosa | 2024 State CO – Ponderosa
Another Ponderosa product, Keach played a major role for the 16u B&B group who made deep playoff runs despite a lingering size disadvantage. What stands out with the 6’1 combo guard is his attention to detail within the halfcourt. His excellent footwork allow him to remain patient, even under aggressive on-ball defense. The combo guard is rarely sped up, where he is dependable hitting three point jumpers and using his strength to finish versus contact. I look forward to seeing Keach as a playmaker, where he does a lot within four dribbles. The Ponderosa guard currently ranks as the 13th overall prospect and 2nd overall combo guard within the 2024 class.
Jayce King Jayce King 6'1" | CG Fort Collins | 2024 State CO – Fort Collins
Standing right around 6′ tall, King is a wiry strong combo guard who remains efficient either on or off the ball. Within transition, King is excellent zipping down the court and putting pressure on the rim. He is more than capable kicking out to open shooters or finishing above the defense. When around the rim, King occasionally brings out flash with high arcing floaters and difficult reverse finishes. What sticks out most for King is his dedication to the defensive end, where he is lockdown one on one. King currently ranks 29th in the class and 6th among combo guards.
Mac Terry Mac Terry 6'4" | CG Rock Canyon | 2024 State CO – Rock Canyon
Terry is a sharpshooter at heart, while standing at least 6’3. The Rock Canyon shooting guard has one of the quicker shots in the state, notably off the catch. He is capable running off screens to free himself up, where he needs less than a second the get the shot off. Given his elite shooting gravity, Terry benefits from defenders playing too high or going over screens. From those, he is more than capable attacking the rim with either hand. Terry ranks 24th in the class and 5th among shooting guards.
Reilly Guerra Reilly Guerra 6'1" | PG Douglas County | 2024 State CO – Douglas County
Guerra will be a point guard likely rising up in the rankings this season, given his progression as a lead ballhandler and overall touch around the rim. Standing right around 6’1, Guerra constantly looks for open teammates either in the halfcourt or fullcourt, doing well surveying the floor at all times. Another area of intrigue comes from his on-ball defense, where he has great reaction speeds to tip away the rock. I look forward to seeing what speed of play Guerra is most comfortable in, given his quick reactions. As of now, he ranks 52nd in the class and 14th among point guards.
