The NJ/PA/NY/DE August showcase was filled with talent as players stood out as they were looking to improve their game and stock before fall league. Here are the top standouts from the NJ/PA/NY/DE August Showcase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1150281' first='Antwan' last='Bridgett'], 5'9 PG Trenton 2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bridgett had a strong showing during the game sessions as he controlled the pace of the game at both ends of the floor. The 5'9 guard played with confidence with the ball in his hands as he knocked down several pull-up triples. Bridgett used his handle to get to the basket and finished nicely around the basket. He made smart decisions with the ball and made it tough for opponents to get into their sets on offense. Bridgett is a quick lead guard whose ability to shoot off the dribble and run the offense will help his game in a big way.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1402094' first='David' last='Gheysens'], 6'4 SG Moorestown 2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gheysens had a strong showing at the showcase as he was able to put his game on display. The 6'4 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and set his feet before every shot. Gheysens did more than just shoot as he showed the ability to get to the basket and finish. He moved well without the ball in his hands and moved his feet on the defensive end. Gheysens is a long, sharpshooter who will continue to rise his stock with more performances like yesterday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1511398' first='Gabe' last='Cerulli'], 6'5 G/F Council Rock South 2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cerulli had a good showing as he put his versatility on display. The lanky 6'5 wing was able to get to the basket consistently and was smooth getting to the basket during the workout drills. Cerulli rose up nicely on his jumpers and rarely forced up a shot throughout the showcase. He fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor and showed the ability to defend multiple positions. Cerulli is a talented wing prospect whose ability to do a little bit of everything will help his stock in a big way.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1400497' first='Erik' last='Oliver-Bush'], 6'3 SG Trenton Catholic 2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Oliver-Bush had a strong showing yesterday as he made plays throughout the showcase. The 6'3 wing showed off a nice release during the shooting drills and was explosive attacking the basket. Oliver-Bush was able to get to his spot during the scrimmages and made smart decisions with the ball in his hands. He ripped down rebounds at both ends of the floor and played tough on-ball defense. Oliver-Bush is a two-way wing prospect who will be a name to watch in New Jersey this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1019862' first='Liam' last='Gajewski'], 6'1 PG Shore 2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gajewski had a solid showcase as he was consistent throughout the night. The 6'1 guard played with poise when the ball was in his hands as he was not rattled or sped up by on-ball pressure. Gajewski has a nice release on his jumper and rarely forced up shots in the half court. He set his teammates up nicely in the half court and finished nicely around the basket. Gajewski is in line for a big senior season with his ability to run the offense and hit jumpers from behind the arc.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
