The camp featured more than 100 players from Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Minnesota, and Arkansas. With so many players to see in a very short amount of time, I was able to catch all of the players in 12-minute scrimmages. Here are some of the top players who really caught my eye during their scrimmage session.
Brock Camp Brock Camp 6'6" | PF HIckman | 2025 State MO (Hickman): The 6’5″ 2025 forward from Hickman dominated the game that I watched him with big body and skill level. When he posted up, he established position with relative ease and turned it into easy buckets. He was scoring off the jump hook and the simple drop step move. He is a versatile ball handler who could also back his man down from the perimeter to get an easy bucket, plus he was a very good passer if the double team came.
Jaylen Callaway (Parwkay South): A 6’0″ 2023 combo guard who was very impressive on the offensive end with his creative handles and nifty finishes in the lane. He displayed a quick first step and a nice burst to get by defenders in the lane. He was scoring on scoops and floaters and he could score with both hands with equal effectiveness.
Adam Rickman Adam Rickman 6'6" | SF Borgia | 2024 State MO (Borgia): A 6’6″ 2024 forward who was able to score on the drive with ease, but he was really unselfish in spreading the ball around and getting his teammates involved. He is very good when he was on the attack, as he always is, and he was finishing well with both hands around the basket.
Nassir Binion Nassir Binion 6'4" | SG Vashon | 2024 State MO (CBC): The 6’4″ 2024 wing displayed his athleticism and high motor as he attacked the offensive boards for rebounds and putbacks. He was strong when he was attacking the basket as he scored on easy layups and short jumpers. His first step is quick and he is right at the basket with limited dribbles. He was also making impact games on the defensive end.
Jaden Rush (O’Fallon, IL): A 6’0″ 2024 point guard from the metro east Illinois area around St. Louis was excellent in the first game that I watched him. He has solid quickness and a good feel for the game. He also had some smooth handles, which he used on several nice takes to score at the basket. He also jumped up and hit the 3-pointer as well.
Carl Whitehead (Webster Groves): A 6’5′ 2025 guard who was constantly getting to the basket to score on some nice takes. He used his strength to get into the lane on some punishing drives as he sought out the contact and got a bucket in traffic. He was effective with both hands and he also dropped off some nice dimes off of his dribble penetration.
Ricky Hunter Ricky Hunter 5'11" | PG Ste Genevieve | 2023 MO (Ste. Genevieve): A 5’11” 2023 combo guard who displayed a very nice shooting strokes in the game I watched him. He made four 3-pointers in the game and showcased some range from well beyond the 3-point line. The first three triples came within five possessions. He got on a little roll and his teammates did a nice job of getting him the ball so he can work out.
