Now we will look at the top 5 candidates from Detroit to have a “breakout season”.

Some opportunities may be available offensively at Cass Tech this season and Harris could reap some of the rewards. The athletic wing can run the floor and could be a great option to get fed the ball by their talented guards. Harris is a very good young player that could really see his stock rise.

Fleming is a name that scouts and next level coaches should become familiar with. There is a ton of upside in his game and it may be well on display this coming season. Fleming is a quick guard with terrific foot speed and handles. He’s an excellent decision maker that’s obviously well schooled in the game.

Martin could be primed for a huge senior season. He’s a guard that can create in the half court as well as in transition. Martin is a scorer at heart that could put up some very impressive numbers this high school season.

When it’s all said and done, coaches at the next level are always looking for post talent. Walker-Berry has some of the top upside of any senior in the paint in Detroit. He’s shown a lot of flashes of dominant skills in the lane, both on the glass and picking up high percentage looks at the rim.

Martin Jr. will benefit greatly from teaming with an elite floor general in Lewless and a a powerful post player in Coffey. He may find himself in some very favorable matchups on the offensive end where he can use his body control to attack the rim or his solid jumper to take advantage of collapsing defenses. Not to mention that Martin Jr. is an athletic defender that can force turnovers with his quick hands and relentlessness.
