Players that can do a bit of everything while covering multiple positions will always be in style. The nine players below showed defensive switchability and offensive versatility all weekend.
It’s good to have Ayuel back in the state of Florida. The 6’7 wing can facilitate, has a knack for scoring, and knows how to use his size. He’s a three level scorer that can take advantage of smaller defenders in the post. He scored 17 points per game, including a 34 point game where he went 3 of 6 from deep and grabbed 5 rebounds,
Andrew Beers Andrew Beers 6'7" | SF Slinger | 2023 WI | Chapman Basketball Academy 2024
Beers has a nonstop motor that opened up opportunities on both ends. He’s a long 6’7 wing that can switch between defenders and really cares about stopping his man. He even chased down a man on the break in the closing few minutes to stop an easy basket. Beers runs the floor, makes the right pass, and finishes plays.
Mason Matson | Iowa Barnstormers 2025
Matson hit a lot of tough buckets over the hands of outstretched defenders. His floater over a 6’10 big and corner three over a guard that sprinted in his direction all caught my eye. He can attack closeouts and rebound on the offensive end as a 6 foot guard.
Garver closed the weekend with a 21 point 12 rebound game against a talented FabSoElite team. Between his motor, 6’6 size, and ability to contribute on both ends of the floor, it’s a lot to like about the 2023 wing. He knocked down four threes, got downhill for several contact finishes, and collected a pair of steals.
Caden Wilkins Caden Wilkins 6'7" | SF Bettendorf | 2024 State #196 Nation IA | Iowa Barnstormers 2024
Wilkins will be the Iowa Barnstormers’ next breakout star. He does everything you could ask a wing to, including bring toughness to the court. He knows how to use his strong 6’6 frame to create mismatches, knock down the three, and has the athleticism to be a one man fast break. He is not afraid to step up for charges.
Joseph Lezeau Joseph Lezeau 6'6" | SF Centennial | 2023 State FL | FL Suns
The high motor wing has impressed on every stop on the circuit. Carrying an athletic 6’6 frame allows him to be a great slasher and cutter that most defenders can’t stay in front of at this level. He was one of the most productive players of the weekend averaging 24 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, a shade under 4 steals, and 2 blocks a game. The 2023 prospect covers a lot of ground on both ends of the floor.
Milyan Smith-Walker | M24 Legends
Smith-Walker is a big body 6’4 combo guard that makes winning plays. In a game that had a big time matchup, he was a key piece in keeping his team in the game. He boxed out and rebound, knocked down the pull up three, and took physical drives to the basket. His combination of size and physicality put him in a position to cover multiple positions and give teams several offensive looks.
Charles is a long athletic 6’4 wing. His long, quick strides made him a tough cover when driving to the basket. He has a quick first step and rip through that got him to the rim on multiple possessions. His combination of physical tools converted to the defensive end, where he has the speed to attack passing lanes and block shots around the rim. The 2024 prospect has a lot of upside.
Damonte Pellot Damonte Pellot 6'3" | PG North Cobb | 2023 State GA | TDBA
Pellot is an athletic 6’1 guard that makes big plays. In the game, I watched he wasn’t a big scorer, but used his athletic tools to make an impact in the game. His speed and jumping are weapons he uses on drives and the break.
