Ben Miller, DTX, Hamden Hall, HT 6’0, Position CG
Ben is a tough, hard noes combo guard. He is having a strong live period so far, with strong performances at Basketbull Hoopfest, and The All Academic Showcase. Something that really stand’s out, is Ben’s ability to shoot from long range. He can just step back further and further out, the more the defense pressures him. He is able to get his shot off against any defensive pressure. Ben is a player that the defense must go over the screens on, and must always have a hand up on. He is a shot maker, and can create his own shot. He is a crafty guard, with good handles, who can run the floor. He also has the ability to make players around him better, and has good court vision. On defense he is very quick, and puts good pressure on ball handlers. He has reclassified to the class of 2025, and Hamden Hall, so he now has even more time to develop.
Marc Garraud, Nobles and Greenough, Middlesex Magic, Class 2023, HT 5’11, Position PG
I saw Marc play at the NEPSAC Showcase. He had an impressive showing, and had games with 26 points, and 35 points at the showcase. He also played well in the UAA circuit. He is able to get in the paint, and score over taller defenders. He has a very quick first step, and explosiveness off the dribble. He is a crafty guard, and can create good separation form the defense. Coaches are quoted saying “He is an incredible leader and teammate.” Defensively Marc has good hands, pressures the ball handlers tightly, and forces a bunch of steals, leading to fast breaks. Marc is a college prospect, and uncommitted as of now.
JT Veiking, Mansfield, Mass Premier, HT 6’8, Position F/Wing Class 2023
JT is a very intriguing prospect. He is almost the definition of a stretch big. He is 6’8, and stretches the floor with his sharp shooting from three point range. He is also a slasher from the wing, and attacks the defenders on the hard closeouts. He had a standout performance at the All Academic Showcase, and at the Basketbull Hoopfest. Both tournaments he shot well. One play, he made a very tough contested three pointer off one foot. He also runs the floor well, and made some tough finishes through contact in transition, and in the half court. JT is a college prospect, and his game will translate well to the next level.
Markus Nordin, Hamilton Wenham, Prodigy, HT 6’3, Position G
Markus is having a strong live period, and just won the Basketbull Hoopfest championship with Prodigy. He is a smooth guard, who can score in multiple ways. He is very athletic, and can play above the rim. He plays well within the offensive, and is good on set plays. He is a good team player, and really moves well off the ball, and cuts hard. He can shoot from the outside, facilitate, and score off the dribble. Markus is an athletic, efficient player, with a college level skill set.
