After a month of team camps across the state, it was nice to get things back up and running with the Prep Hoops Circuit. Things began on Saturday in Oklahoma City and Edmond with the “The Finale”. I was stationed at the Santa Fe Center for 15U basketball all day and here is part one on some of the standouts that I saw in action. Stay tuned for part two as well as coverage from the 17U and 16U divisions throughout the weekend.
Davon Chaffin – 2026 Guard – Buddy Buckets OKC (Southeast)
We start the 15U breakdown from day one with the youngest prospect on the breakdown. Davon Chaffin, a 2026 guard who will be a freshman this fall at Southeast was one of the many standouts on Saturday. Despite falling short in the one game we got a chance to see him in person, Chaffin showed that he belonged on the higher level and should be one of the more impactful 2026 prospects in the OKC area. Chaffin got to play with Southeast throughout the month of June at team camps and this is a Southeast team that is absolutely loaded at the guard position. The addition of Chaffin as a freshman will allow them to have depth. We’re really interested to see how Chaffin grows his game from here because the confidence is there for him to be a strong guard prospect.
Garrett Loper – 2025 Guard – RSE Basketball (Westmoore)
We checked out one of RSE Basketball’s games on Saturday afternoon and they fell short on the scoreboard. But the performance from Westmoore 2025 guard Garrett Loper did not disappoint. He finished with a game-high 37 points and while we haven’t seen every score sheet from Saturday, we don’t think it’s a stretch to call that at least a top five scoring performance on Saturday in the 15U division. Loper was dangerous from beyond the arc, going 6-11 in this particular game and he would also go 5-10 in another game from 3-point range on Saturday. Loper wasn’t just a shooter on Saturday. He would drive to the basket and always finish despite contact. He was also aggressive on the defensive end of the floor and would create turnovers that led to easy buckets.
Logan Knol Logan Knol 6'6" | SF Edmond North | 2025 State OK – 2025 Forward – Oklahoma Flight (Edmond North)
The only forward on the breakdown is 2025 forward Logan Knol Logan Knol 6'6" | SF Edmond North | 2025 State OK from Edmond North. Suiting up once again for Oklahoma Flight, Knol looked like he has gotten bigger since the last time we saw him in person, which was late April. Not only did he look taller, but it looked like he had been hitting the weight room and adding some muscle. Knol just looks confident on the floor and like he belongs no matter who they’re going up against. As he gets bigger, we want to see him more in the paint but he showcased plenty of that on Saturday. Knol has a high upside when you consider the skillset he already possesses. He can go outside, he can go inside and he can handle the ball confidently. I personally have written about Knol a few times this offseason and we’re looking forward to seeing continued growth from him.
Triston Driver Triston Driver 6'0" | PG Bixby | 2025 State OK – 2025 Guard – Tulsa Impact (Bixby)
A lot of what we wrote about Loper could be put in here for fellow 2025 guard Triston Driver Triston Driver 6'0" | PG Bixby | 2025 State OK from Tulsa Impact. The Bixby guard has been impressive throughout this offseason while playing in Circuit events. However, this was the first time that I got a chance to see him personally. I knew he was a good shooter and there was no doubt that he had the green light to shoot on Saturday. Driver was pulling up from everywhere on the floor and letting it fly. Similar to Loper, Driver also used his defense to cause turnovers which led to easy points and he would have to do so by finishing against contact as well. Driver is definitely a 2025 guard prospect that has been on our radar for a few months now but it’s good to see his game continue to evolve. We’re interested to see what’s next for the Bixby standout.
