<p>Summer is about half over, and the July club season is about to heat up.</p>
<p>But before we put the spring completely in the rearview mirror, let’s take a look at some recent off-the-court news involving top-ranked 2024s.</p>
<p>Though the group of ranked 2024s is still relatively small, there are a few sophomores who have made news lately.</p>
<p>First, at the top of the class list, Wichita Heights’ [player_tooltip player_id="1270090" first="TJ" last="Williams"] announced in May that he will attend Sunrise Academy in Wichita next year. Williams is already posting college offers on his Twitter account.</p>
<p>Here are some other 2024s in the news:</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1270271" first="Tanner" last="Heckel"], Inman, ranked #13 in the class of 2024:</p>
<p>The multi-sport star from Inman took 2<sup>nd</sup> in the 2A long jump with a leap of 21-04.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1270301" first="Peyton" last="Ryan"], Central Plains, ranked #21 in the class of 2024:</p>
<p>Ryan put together a stellar 33-1 record on the tennis court. The sophomore’s only loss came in the state 3-1A singles championship.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1378444" first="Landon" last="McPhail"], Ashland, ranked #37 in the class of 2024:</p>
<p>The combo guard is no sub-par shooter on the basketball court. But on the links it’s a different story. McPhail earned second-team in 1A golf.</p>
