Marco Restelli Marco Restelli 6'2" | SG Morris Catholic | 2023 NJ | 6’2” | G | Morris Catholic 2023
Smooth guard who moves well and can create scoring opportunities for himself both pulling up and attacking the basket. A good ballhandler who’s a threat from deep. He had 32 vs Immaculata, and wend over 20 on another half dozen occasions, including 20 vs Mendham. He will be one of the leaders for Morris Catholic as a senior and be driving the bus offensively. Plays AAU for the NJ Beasts.
Michaelangelo Oberti Michaelangelo Oberti 6'10" | C Morris Catholic | 2024 State NJ | 6’8” | F | Morris Catholic 2024
Oberti is a quick moving big man who is still growing into his frame and skillset as a prospect. He’s good at rolling off screens, can run the floor well and also can pass out of the post. He’s a tough rebounder and he’ll be a key piece for the Crusaders in coming seasons. He had numerous double-doubles and 14&16 vs Union Catholic as well as 17&13 vs Archbishop Curley(MD). Interesting prospect to watch and colleges should start checking in at Morris Catholic.
Chris Smith | 6’5” | F | Hanover Park 2023
Smith is a multi sport athlete who also excels on the football field for the Honerts. On the basketball court he’s a physical post player who utilizes his 6’5”-210 frame to be a menace under the basket at both ends of the floor. He started his season off with a double double vs Dover(23&19) and kept on churning from there, registering 15 double doubles as a junior. His top games were 25&11 vs Morris Catholic, 19&12 vs Oratory and 22&13 vs Madison. He’ll be a sought after player in both sports but he’s got one more season to go on the hardwood and he’ll be one of the top players not just in the division, but in the county as a senior.
Joe Sluck | 5’9” | G | Mountain Lakes 2023
Sluck is a multi sport athlete as well and his toughness translated well to the basketball court as a junior. Unafraid to drive at the basket, he’s effective at breaking down defenders, has a good first step to the hole and has a solid understanding of the guard position and the nuances that come with it. Mountain Lakes may have struggled during the 21-22 season, but Sluck carried them through their victories, including dropping an eye popping 32 on Kinnelon. He also had 26 in a win over Dover and led them by Manchester Reg. with 18. He’s going to be asked to shoulder a big burden as a senior but his performances were up to task last year. He’ll be a player to keep an eye on as a senior.
Anthony Reyes | G| Hanover Park 2024
After seeing some time as a freshman, Reyes broke out as a sophomore. He showed to be a solid scorer and a capable shooter beyond the arc. He showed flashes of his ability by going for 24 vs Madison, 20 vs Mountain Lakes and Jefferson & also having several other games around 15 points. He’ll find consistency to be a player who can do that every night as he matures on the floor but he is part of a trio of Hanover Park returnees(Alex Reyes and John Karpinski) who contributed as underclassmen and will make them competitive the next few years.
