(Borgia): The 6’6″ 2024 wing was one of the most impressive players in the event. the talented lefty can beat defenders in many ways with his aggressiveness, fundamentals and soft shooting touch from many spots on the floor. He has a nice post up game with good footwork around the basket. He is an excellent slasher who can finish through contact with physical drives that get free throws and conventional three-point plays with both hands. He can hit perimeter shots and also make the right pass to an open teammate.
Jordan Richardson (Hickman): The 6’0″ 2023 point guard was excellent when he was penetrating and slashing to the basket, which was quite often. He is a very good finisher in the lane and he was also knocking down 3-pointers to compliment his ability to drive. He also dropped off some nice passes off of his penetration. He was very solid defensively as he moved his feet and applied constant pressure on the ball. I liked his energy and constant activity. He kept things moving.
Peyton Gruver (St. James): A 6’1″ 2023 guard who was always in the right place at the right time to make a play, which denotes a high basketball IQ. He’s was vey unselfish as he was constantly moving the ball and passing up his own open shot to a teammate with a better shot. He did a good job of hitting the open 3-pointer from the corner with a nice release.
Evan Bishop (Boonville): The 6’3″ 2025 wing is a solid young player who was very good at attacking the basket on the drive. He did a lot of his work in the paint as he finished well through the contact. He also took advantage when he was matched against a smaller guard as he took them inside and posted up to get a bucket.
Johnny Brice (Steelville): A 2023 guard who did a good job of distributing the basketball. He also made good use of ball fakes to free himself up on the drive. He also moved well without the basketball as he scored on some nice off ball cuts.
