Today we will be diving deep into the Film Room and take a look at our top Centers to put on your radar to continue our Film Room 2023 series. These Junior big men are the high flying rim protectors that want to make sure you don’t miss out on.

#36 [player_tooltip player_id="815581" first="David" last="Solomon III"] (2023) | 6-6 C | VA Academy / Team Durant

Solomon brings an abundance of strength and mobility to the Center position on defense. With the ability to move his feet with wings out on the perimeter as well as get physical in the paint, constantly digging for steals and disrupting shots at the rim. Solomon also brings good playmaking tools to his teams with the will to run the floor and the skills to hit teammates backdoor and on cuts out of the post.

#51 [player_tooltip player_id="1241925" first="Paul" last="Williams"] (2023) | 6-8 C | Walsingham / Team Richmond
The 6’8" Williams can make opposing big men uncomfortable when dealing with him. He is great at locking down the paint and rotating quickly to contest shots at the rim. Williams possess great awareness when it comes to playing the passing lanes and to get out and run the floor. Williams can play both ends of the floor with a good feel for the game on both sides.

#26 [player_tooltip player_id="1159838" first="Evan" last="Ramsey"] (2023) | 7-0 C | Abingdon / Big Shots Elite Tri-cities

Ramsey is a true Center with great positional size and a high level of IQ. Ramsey is a big man you can run an offense through, he can also create open shots for his teammate with off by movement due to the gravity he creates when moving around the low post area. he also has great hands. Ramsey has the ability to catch lobs and snatch rebounds right over top of the opposing players heads. When Ramsey comes down with a rebound his strength when securing the ball is unmatched, he can go up for a putback with multiple bodies on him and finish with ease.

#111 [player_tooltip player_id="1483018" first="Brandon" last="Logan"] (2023) | 6-7 C | Oakton / District basketball club

Logan is a bouncy rim protector with a high motor. He has an extraordinary ability to get off the floor quickly for blocks and or rebounds. Logan does not give up on plays. he can contested 3-4 consecutive shot attempts in one defensive stand and run back to the other end without losing a step. Logan also possess great defensive instincts he knows not to leave the floor for a block attempt before his opponent does and rarely ever bites on pump fakes and ball fakes. Logan also has some nice offensive tools. he has a nice touch on his shot in the high post area and can hit the open cutters out of the post.

#133 [player_tooltip player_id="1403961" first="Jahzari" last="Priester"] (2023) | 6-8 C | Western Branch / Fly High
at 6’8", 250 lbs, Priester has a high level strength, toughness, and competitiveness along with great positional size. Priester is another player on this list who does not give up on plays, he can stay locked in on a defensive stop for as long as it takes as well as race opponents down court to disrupt fastbreaks. His shot blocking abilities are like no other, he can beat opposing drivers to the spot and get the block without fouling by going straight up and can rotate out to the perimeter and slide his feet with the wings when needed. Priester also bears a skilled back to the basket post game, he can finish through contact and at the rim with ease, but that’s not where his offensive game ends; Priester’s high level rebounding and strength with the ball can create a ton of second chance points anywhere he’s playing.
