LONG BEACH — Last weekend’s Full Court Press All-West Camp featured more than 100 players from California and various other states at McBride high school. The two-day event, with players from the classes of 2023 through 2026, had plenty of well-known names to Southern California basketball followers and some players looking to put their names on that radar. In this piece we take a look at some of the top prospects we saw.

Jeremiah Hampton, 2025, Windward - Hampton was one of the surprise performers from the event as the rising sophomore flashed a deep bag of offensive ability. At 6-feet-3 with good length and fluid athleticism, Hampton has a chance to be a one of the top 2025 prospects in the region. He plays with a high motor, has burst and blow-by speed in transition and is an aggressive downhill driver and crafty finisher around the basket. Hampton also connected on a handful of three-point shots with smooth mechanics.

[player_tooltip player_id="1434419" first="Jimmy" last="Oladokun"], 2023, Damien - There wasn’t a whole lot of interior competition for Oladokun throughout this event. The 6-foot-8 forward is one of the more skilled big men in all of SoCal and he had his versatility on display. The rising senior has inside-out scoring ability with face-up touch to the three-point line and he can also attack driving lanes for straight-line finishes. Oladokun is an active offensive and defensive rebounder whose always looking to rim-run for easy baskets.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253212" first="Jordy" last="McKenzie"], 2025, Southern California Academy - McKenzie is a smooth perimeter scorer who has the handle and feel off the bounce to create shots for himself at the mid-range and three-point levels of the floor. The rising sophomore - who recently made the move to Southern California Academy - has fluid mechanics along with great lift and balance on his pull-up jumper. McKenzie really has a knack for creating space from defenders off the dribble to get a clean look at the rim.

Kade Bonam, 2025, St. John Bosco - As we noted multiple times throughout his freshman season, Bonam encompasses versatility at the high school level. At 6-feet-6, the rising sophomore is a high IQ passer and playmaker when leading the break himself, out of trail situations or when operating on the block. Bonam exploits mismatches with his combination of strength, touch and footwork and has also improved the consistency on his catch and shoot jumper from behind the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id="1383621" first="Samuel" last="Chavarin"], 2023, Bishop O’Dowd - There were a couple things you could count on from Chavarin at this event. First, he played with a high motor and physicality inside. Second, he made it a point to dominate the offensive and defensive boards. And third, the rising senior tried to finish everything above the rim and with power. Chavarin showed that he can guard multiple positions, rebound in and out of his area and run the floor with purpose.
