The energy and motor these prospects played with impressed me as did their versatility and stretch 4 capabilities. Of all the lists I’ve produced so far, this list has the highest ceiling for scholarships among these players.
Que Miller (2024) HWB (Garfield Heights)
Miller is a workhorse and impressed against Dayton Elite during pool play. Slightly undersized for a PF, Miller plays bigger than his frame and was automatic on the glass. Extremely high motor on the blocks and forced defenders to put a body on him or risk 2nd chance opportunities. Garfield Heights has a history of hard nosed guys and Miller continues the tradition.
Jack Halls (2024) Grand Park Premier-Black (Terre Haute North)
Halls was a prospect I wish I could have seen a little more of because the glimpses I watched I really liked his upside. At 6-foot-7, Halls has a great handle for a guy his size and combines this with the athleticism likely seen in a SF. Mismatch issue on the wing with that size and footwork. Halls seemingly has springs in his shoes as he almost had the dunk of the weekend and showed me he is a threat to do that anytime he’s around the rim.
Jeremy Wilson (2024) Team Clutch (Solon)
Wilson is a bit more of a stretch 4 option comparatively on this list and had more versatility compared to others. While he can pay around the rim, Wilson impressed more with his midrange shooting touch as he was pushed outside the paint. When the ball was in his possession in the low post, Wilson passed the ball well and saw the floor and found cutting guards.
Caden Kruse Caden Kruse 6'6" | PF Napoleon | 2024 State OH (2024) NW Ohio (Napoleon)
Kruse could likely make an argument for another stretch 4 option on this list. While Kruse’s playing card is his frame and would be a true PF at the next level, I know what he is capable of from his time in May with Hopson Elite. Tough around the rim including a huge offensive rebound off of a free throw down the stretch in a win for NW Ohio. Kruse should benefit from the move to NW Ohio playing with bigger teammates than the guard heavy Hopson Elite team.
