Owen Treat (Illinois Bears Shubert 16U)
Treat is a point guard from Vienna that has solid size and feel for running a team in the half court. Several times you could tell he just saw everything a pass ahead of the opponent making dishes that put his teammates in the perfect positions to succeed. Capable spot up three point shooter. Rebounds well for a guard and used his length defensively well including blocking a three.
Aiden Hinton (Illinois Bears Shubert 16U)
Hinton is an undersized small forward that has a thick body and plays with a super high-motor. Runs the floor super hard for scores, can take it off the defensive glass going end to end, and excels playing off his athleticism.
Mason Shubert Mason Shubert 6'2" | SG Breese Central | 2024 State IL (lllinois Bears Shubert 16U)
Shubert showed up the second day after being in the state track meet on Friday. The 6’2” Breese Central shooting guard provides some athletic pop on the perimeter along with toughness. Everything he did was precise and with a purpose. Sound shooter that also scored well in transition.
Nehemiah Fowlkes (Team EVOL 16U)
Fowlkes adds even more to the Hillcrest backcourt that continues to produce speedy and defensive minded guards year after year. Fowlkes is no different. He is a pesky defender that gets steals then pushes the other way for scores. Speed to burn in the open floor!
Santana Flowers (Team EVOL 16U)
Flowers was the most projectable of the Team EVOL trio. At 6’4” the Bloom small forward is a plus athlete that blocks shots inside on defense which he showed on Friday night. As the weekend went along his offensive game started to come alive with put backs, smooth drives, and even hit a three. One to track!
Johnny Wiggins (Team EVOL 16U)
Power guard from St. Laurence that has a lights out pull up game. Stop and pop shooter that made pull ups on the regular while also draining floaters at a high percentage.
Cale Cosme Cale Cosme 5'7" | PG Brother Rice | 2024 State IL (ET21 Buckeyes 16U)
Cosme is a small guard that controls the game! He is at his best when driving opponents nuts by getting penetration then kicking to shooters or dumping off to his big men inside. Such a heady player that has eyes in the back of his head. More than just a passer the Brother Rice guard can score as well going for 22 points in one game including draining four triples.
Ryan Runaas Ryan Runaas 6'0" | PG Lemont | 2024 State IL (ET21 Buckeyes 16U)
Lemont combo guard that has put his name on the map this spring. He dropped 15 points on Saturday afternoon with his slithering ball handling getting to the rack over and over for layups along with splashing in a three. More he can show as a playmaker his stock will go up!
Ehi Ogbomo Ehi Ogbomo 6'0" | PG Plainfield East | 2024 State IL (Illinois T-Wolves 16U)
This Plainfield East 2024 point guard was fighting through an ankle injury during the weekend, but when on the floor he was spectacular! Athletic 6’0” guard that has an absolutely lethal mid-range game. He had it flowing along with mixing in a three and has some burst accelerating with the ball.
Michael Smith (Illinois T-Wolves 16U)
Smith stepped up in a major way with Ogbomo out. He carried them to a win being effective scoring from all three levels hitting several threes early and then using his straight line takes for scores at the cup. Good ball handler that attacks with his wiry frame.
Antonio Zabala (Illinois T-Wolves 16U)
Another guard that made some noise for the Illinois T-Wolves. Smooth ball handler that has a float game in the lane and seemed to prefer to score in the paint.
