6’5 SF Hayden Gribble || Herriman High School || 2024 ||
Hayden got off to a quick start as he is a big time energy guy who plays hard and enjoys that contact. Just a few minutes in he got himself a dunk as he displayed his superior athletic ability. He has a nice shot from deep and overall just some raw skill. In the second half he shut it down with a killer dunk as he caught himself a body. This kid could really be the energizing type of player at the next level and for a massive improvement at Herriman this upcoming year.
6’5 CG Chudi Anosike Chudi Anosike 6'5" | CG Murray | 2023 State UT || Murray High School || 2023 ||
We try not to take games in June very seriously because teams are missing players but Chudi was a bit off again in the first have against Woods Cross nut in the second half he was unreal as he likely had 35+ in a narrow win. When his motor is on he is elite and he is going hard to the rim on attacks and he is lining those jumpers up. Woods Cross defenders just didn’t have a chance defending him off the move. When the ball moves a lot for Murray Chudi ends up attacking with no help and he can convert. Defensively he did great using his speed, length and strength. Would love to see WX and Murray go at it again in the pre-season when everyone is at full-strength.
6’2 G Carson Bagley Carson Bagley 6'0" | PG Bingham | 2023 State UT || Bingham High School || 2023 ||
Carson is a player that helps Bingham in various ways. He is a willing defender that can guard 1-3 and hold his own. With not too much varsity experience he is learning with reps what he can and can’t do at the varsity level. He has a long wingspan that allows him to contest and not get too close to shifty guards. He needs to finish better at the rim but you can see that he has some good tools and skills to help Bingham as they lost a lot of key players.
6’0 G Weston Olsen Weston Olsen 5'11" | PG Olympus High | 2024 State UT || Olympus High School || 2024 ||
Weston showed some grit out there using his speed and strength creating turnovers and hitting some occasional jumpers here and there. He is a player that could be the defensive assignment guy to stop a player from getting easy buckets. Could be the glue guy for a team that has two other exceptional guards.
6’8 F Jaxon Johnson Jaxon Johnson 6'8" | SF Alta | 2024 State #106 Nation UT || Alta High School || 2024 ||
Jaxon was in his bag yesterday as he showed every bit of his D1 skill and nobody that was watching would disagree. He was defending arguably the best shooter in the state and he blanketed him in the perimeter as he would use his length and move his feet very well. Rebounded and pushed the ball up the floor very well. Jaxon made the extra pass and he also showed his patience when he would get the ball in traffic. Finished through contact and was hitting those outside open looks. Earlier in the day he jumped a pass and dunked it on a player trying to contest. This kid is legit.
