Abe Soumis (6’1 2024 F, Northern Lakers)- Soumis may be 6’1 but he plays about 6 inches above his height. When he’s in the paint, the forward uses top-tier footwork and positioning to beat you on either side of the floor. He extends his game to the outside, showing flashes as a ball-handler and playmaker. He scores from all places on the floor including beyond the arc. However, he’s most dominant inside. He has excellent touch and patience around the hoop. Defensively, Soumis has great wall-ups and uses incredible strength to hold his own.
Nate Firle (6’10 2024 C, Minnesota Nice)- Firle established his presence early in the Gold Bracket 16U Championship game with three quick blocks. He continued to be a force down-low all game long. He’s a good paint and rim protector and is quick enough to switch out and guard on the perimeter if needed. He does very well collecting shovel passes from dribble drives and wastes no time converting them for two. Firle is a good rebounder and has good touch.
Isaiah Kastern (6’5 2024 F, Northern Lakers)- Kastern plays a physical brand of basketball which helps him succeed on the glass. He’s a great rebounder and seems to sniff out the ball before it comes off the rim. On offense, he has a good left shoulder, right-handed jump hook, and he finishes well with both hands. He has good use of ball fakes too. Kastern is a pretty well-rounded post player who succeeds in both back-to-the-basket and face-up situations.
Andrew Quam Andrew Quam 6'5" | SF Lakeville North | 2024 State MN (6’4 2024 F, Minnesota Select Fuerte)- Kuam has a very versatile game. He plays well away from the ball and uses well-timed cuts, has good positioning, and he crashes the offensive boards hard. He shoots the three well and utilizes excellent ball fakes. He has good back-to-the-basket work and can beat you off the dribble. He can finish with both hands too. Kuam is a confident player.
Noah Brumfield (6’4 2024 F, West Central United)- Brumfield is an athletic forward who runs the floor very well. He finishes through contact like a pro, can handle the rock, has good hands and feet, and his game can be extended to three-point territory. He finds the most success in and around the bucket, cutting to the rim and finishing with strength. Brumfield likes to run in transition and he even threw down a hard two-handed slam in a Saturday game.
