<h5>NC Good Better Best Academy made the trip out to Blue Ridge School in Virginia to participate in the VA Live Shootout and on Day 1, they've looked like a well-oiled machine through their first two games as they went 2-0.</h5>
<p>In their first victory, they cruised to a 73-51 over Evergreen Christian School as [player_tooltip player_id="577885" first="Asa" last="White"] led the scoring load for them with 16 points. He made the game look easy on the interior alongside [player_tooltip player_id="1156050" first="Tichyque" last="Musaka"] as the duo has been stellar down low. Musaka finished with just six points but was a presence on the glass and as a rim protector.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1121048" first="Nigel" last="Okwakol"] has been another name that stood out with 13 points while showing he can be active off the bounce and on the defensive end. [player_tooltip player_id="854913" first="Jakel" last="Powell"] finished with 11 points, showing off his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter and create off the bounce. He really got hot from deep in their second victory.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1307578" first="Isaiah" last="Otyaluk"] has been another intriguing name given his versatility at 6-foot-7. He showed he could knock down shots on the perimeter with 10 points along with two made 3-pointers. He's an underrated athletic prospect that's slowly getting on college radars. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1145483" first="CJ" last="Alston"] has been a new addition to this group, running the show at the point guard position and making opponents uncomfortable. He's led the playmaking for this squad as they've made things look easy on Day 1.</p>
<p>In their second victory 59-43, Powell led the way for NC GBBA with 20 points on five made 3-pointers. He was being face-guarded full-court by the end of things as he showed off his ability to operate with the ball in his hands. Musaka was right behind him with 16 points as he showed off his ability to make things easy with his finishing ability. He's a sleeper prospect in NC's 2023 class. White finished with 8 points and was dominant on the defensive end, making his opponent rely on the perimeter to stay in the game.</p>
<p>Otyaluk was a presence on the glass, in this one as he even had a big put-back rebound that brought down the house. Okwakol had all nine of his points in the second half, though his defense got them going in the first half as did the presence of [player_tooltip player_id="1159135" first="Maleke" last="Green"] on the defensive end. They're a talented group that certainly turned heads after their performance.</p>
