[player_tooltip player_id="1286000" first="Winston" last="Allen"] (Oak Park): The 6’5 2023 forward is a long, slender athlete who was making plays all weekend with great effort. He had one great sequence when he darted into the passing lane for a deflection, then hustled to save the ball from going out of bounds and chase it down to throw down a transition dunk. It was the most impressive play I witnessed all weekend. That was the kind of energy he played with throughout the showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id="1161283" first="Arhmad" last="Branch"] (Festus): The 6’0 2023 point guard played off the ball for much of the weekend, which enabled him to showcase his explosive athleticism and high motor. He was always around the ball, whether he was crashing the boards, getting steals or dunking on somebody’s head.

[player_tooltip player_id="1170197" first="Darin" last="Conley"] (Pembroke Hill): The 6’5 2023 forward was one of the best rebounder that I watched all weekend. He pounded the glass at both ends of the court and didn’t mind getting out of his area. He was always hustling down the court on rim runs.

[player_tooltip player_id="1440454" first="Cameron" last="Manyawu"] (Staley): The 6’8 2023 forward never cheats you when it comes to giving a full effort around the basket. He’s constantly flying around on the boards and on the defensive end and he gets the results. He also runs the floor hard. He doesn’t take a play off.

[player_tooltip player_id="1262562" first="Nassir" last="Binion"] (CBC): The talented 6’4 2024 guard is one of the best offensive rebounders in the state. Not only is he an excellent athlete with a quick second and third jump, he has a tremendous desire to get the ball. He’s emerging as a potent scorer, but the energy and effort have always been a part of his make-up.

[player_tooltip player_id="1161303" first="Joseph" last="Clark"] (Mid Buchanan): The athletic 6’5 wing was very productive because he knows how to make things happen when he doesn’t have the ball. That’s very important in a showcase event. He’s an excellent rebounder and defender who’s constantly moving. He’s also a very effective slasher with the ball.

Aaron Walker Jr. (SLUH): The 5’9 2023 point guard was like the Roadrunner out there with his tremendous speed. It was very evident on the defensive end as he was the most impressive on-ball defender that I watched. He was constantly turning ball handlers and even picked a few pockets. It took a great deal of energy and he had plenty of it.
