<p>Here are some players who caught our eye at the Hofstra team camp. These players will have a bigger roles for their high school teams next season and got off on the right foot with an impressive showing of their game.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1360144" first="Nick" last="Waga"]. 6”1. 2024 Commack</strong></p>
<p>A tough fearless player. Nick has a strong base handling the ball. Can get into the lane and score it or deliver the pass. Has good range. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1392618" first="Nate" last="Gordon"]. 6”1. 2023 Deer Park</strong></p>
<p>Showed his deep range. Excellent pure shooter. Does a really good job of relocating. Has a repeatable motion.</p>
<p><strong>Jack Diskin. 6”4. 2023. Manhasset</strong></p>
<p>These team camp events give scouts a chance to see players who are ready for bigger roles for their squad. That’s we got from Jack. He showed a crossover into a pull up. Has excellent court vision. Moves well without the ball. Finished through contact.</p>
<p><strong>Benny Hughes. 6”2. 2025. Commack</strong></p>
<p>Showed a soft touch. Really good around the basket. Coach said he has been developing really nicely. A player to watch as he enters his sophomore year.</p>
<p><strong>Fabian Wheatley. 5”10. 2024. St Dominick</strong></p>
<p>Gets himself into the lane and can score it or set up a teammate. Has a tight dribble and a quick first step. Showed ability to stick the jump shot. </p>

<p>Has unlimited range. A quick release. Ball comes out of the hand with good spin. Comes off of screens ready to shoot it. </p>
<p><strong>Owen Kelly. 6”2. 2023. Massapequa</strong></p>
<p>Little bit on the thin side but gets involved on the boards. Excellent rebounder and tracker of the ball. Exceptional mid range game.<br />
