Prep Hoops took in the activity at the Coastal Carolina University Team Camp this week in Conway. The camp featured several teams from the Carolinas in the event. Let’s take a look at the 2023 Top Performers we were able to see on the opening day.

[player_tooltip player_id="1133746" first="Justin" last="Britt"] - Goose Creek HS (pictured on front)

Britt really came to play today for the Gators. Justin was attacking the rack at will when he wasn’t picking up a deflection in the passing lane. Justin has good size from the guard-wing position and always plays active while on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="865341" first="Trai" last="White"] - Gray Collegiate

White is the ultimate floor general who really can get the ball into the paint for the War Eagles. Trai has plenty of talent to work and he knows how to find them with his crisp passing skills. He does a good job of keeping the ball low to the floor and rarely turns the ball over.

[player_tooltip player_id="1172567" first="Elijah" last="Dates"] - Goose Creek HS

Dates was a bit of a menace today on the defensive end of the floor for the Gators. Elijah picked up several steals and turned those into transition buckets going the other way. Elijah and [player_tooltip player_id="1133746" first="Justin" last="Britt"] will provide great leadership for the Gators this season and Head Coach Blake Hall.

[player_tooltip player_id="1486201" first="Kendell" last="Cave"], [player_tooltip player_id="944993" first="John" last="Baldwin"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1103265" first="Cannon" last="Keziah"] - Northwood Temple (Fayetteville, NC)

This trio will be key for the Eagles this coming season. Cave made the move over from Wallce-Rose Hill HS. He brings good versatility with his ability to play inside-out on the floor. Kendell at times would lead the break-up the floor after rebounding it and find the open man. Cave could be an ideal mismatch guy at times with his versatility.

Baldwin is a big man who has the ability to play face-up. John has a nice set of hands and soft touch around the cup. He does a good job of keeping the ball up after rebounding it.

Keziah is a SHOOTER who really stroke the ball at a high level. Cannon likes to set up shop behind the three-point line. He really shoots the ball at a high percentage and watch out when he gets his feet set. This trio will really be a key for this Eagles team success come this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="854884" first="Bryce" last="Cash"] - Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC)

Cash made the move from nearby Charlotte Christian. Bryce is the ultimate glue guy for this Carmel Christian squad. Bryce does all the little things to help your team win games while be a stat sheet stuffer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1142620" first="Kaleb" last="Siler"] - Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC)

Siler originally from Fayetteville has redefined his body and really looks the part now. Siler finishes around the rim with a nice touch. Kaleb has no problems banging down low along with altering and challenging shots on the defensive end.
