<p>Prep Hoops Missouri released its updated Class of 2023 rankings this week. Here is a look at the top stock risers from those updated rankings.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1070086" first="B.J." last="Ward"] (Chaminade, 14 to 10): A 6’0" point guard who took over the leadership role for the Red Devils, who finished fourth in the Class 6 state tournament. He averaged 12 points, three rebounds and five assists a game while also playing stellar defense.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1161287" first="Marqueas" last="Bell"] (Park Hill, 27 to 15): A slender 6’3" guard who went from an ace sixth man as a sophomore to one of the top offensive threats in the KC area this past season. The lefty is smooth with the ability to score from all three levels. He averaged 19.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and two steals a game while making 54 3-pointers.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1161297" first="Nilivan" last="Daniels"] (Chaminade, 34 to 28): A 6’3" shooting guard who plays with high energy at both ends of the court while providing excellent perimeter shooting. He averaged 13.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists while shooting 41 percent from 3-point range in helping the Red Devils to the Class 6 Final Four.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1070119" first="Nate" last="Brandt"] (Fatima, 47 to 35): The 6’3" shooting guard is one of the top players in the Mid Mo area. He’s very athletic and he can score at all three levels. His range extends well beyond the 3-point line, but he can also attack the basket with strength. He can also throw down a nice alley-oop dunk.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1161289" first="Isaac" last="Danielson"] (Kirksville, 49 to 38): A 6’2" point guard who has been getting buckets for the Bulldogs since he was a freshman starter. He’s an excellent quarterback on the football field and the basketball court. He’s a three-level scorer with outstanding shooting range and he can make his teammates better with his playmaking skills.</p> <p>Aaron Walker Jr. (SLUH, 98 to 48): A 5’8" point guard who has the ability to impact a game with his speed and quickness. He excels in the open court and he’s an excellent defender. He averaged 10.5 points, 4.5 assists and 2.2 steals a game while shooting 57 percent from the field.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1269936" first="CJ" last="Lang"] (Webster Groves (66 to 52): A 6’1" point guard who played a big role in the Statemen’s run to the Class 5 state championship with his overall floor game. He’s an elite level defender who can run the offense and get a bucket when needed. He averaged 8.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.6 steals a game.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1070118" first="Brady" last="Bowers"] (Rock Bridge, 80 to 59): The 6’1" combo guard from Rock Bridge is a big stock riser from the Mid Mo area. He is a plus 3-point shooter with excellent range and the ability to score with the ball with his movement without the ball. He can also run the pick and roll effectively to create his offense off the dribble.</p> <p>Chandavian Bradley (Platte County, 74 to 64): The 6’6" forward is one of the state’s top football prospects with several major college offers. He also excels on the basketball court with his high energy and explosive athleticism. He averaged 12 points, six rebounds and two steals in helping the Pirates to a 22-5 record.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1167327" first="Jack" last="Gogue"] (Richmond, 85 to 76): A robust 6’8" 270-pound power forward who had a big season in helping lead the Spartans to the Class 4 state quarterfinals. The big lefty has good mobility to go with his size and he has a nice shooting touch around the basket. He is also an excellent prospect on the football field.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1272280" first="Boston" last="Douglas"] (Macon, 102 to 83): A 6’3" wing guard who is an excellent all-purpose player. He plays with a high motor and he can play several different roles to help his team. He rebounds well and, plays strong defense and can scoring on slashing drives.</p>
