Ethan Wyatt 2023 6’3 Klein Collins High School, TX (Welcome to 4 Vegas Hot Shots 2023)
Ethan is an athletic monster, not surprising to anyone a dual sport athlete who is already boasting division one offers in football. Wyatt has explosiveness that is off the charts with the ability to hammer home monstrous dunks on the fast break, as well as rising up and finishing over the top of anyone. He has some incredibly impressive tomahawk dunks in his arsenal, many of which sucked the air out of the gym when he finished it. He has the ability to play on both ends of the court, using his active hands to poke the ball free and his basketball IQ to play in the passing lanes. He is not just a slasher however, he calmly knocks down shots off the bounce from 3 point range, and is more than comfortable at taking the pull up 15 footer. I was very impressed with the ease in which the game seemed to come to him, paired with his explosiveness and athleticism, some coach is going to be very lucky to have this young man at the next level, no matter which sport he picks!
Max Ndiaye 2023 6’4 Spring Creek Academy, TX (Team United Texas 2023 Yellow)
Max is a dynamic wing who has a real ability to punish the defense off the bounce from anywhere on the court. I was blown away with how tight his handle was and how he used it as a weapon in the full court. He stepped into deep three pointers off the bounce, and seemed to be hitting shots from all over the court. He as great at using two dribble moves back to back and shifting his opponents weight and then exploding to a spot and calmly rising over his defender. You can tell Max has spent a lot of time on every inch of the floor, he is incredibly comfortable at taking whatever shot the defense gives him from all three levels. It was a pleasuere watching him manipulate defenses on the fast break and push the tempo when his team had the advantage on the break. What makes him a real weapon is his ability to go coast to coast, especially with the amount of energy he puts forth on the defensive glass. He skies for rebounds and immediately has his head up to run the fast break or make an outlet pass to a teammate. On two different occasions, I watched him follow up his own shot from three point range and grab the rebound for an easy put back attempt.
Jackson Seale 2023 6’9 McKinney Boyd High School, TX (Top Achievers Elite 2023)
Jackson was at it again with more dominant performances at the PrepHoops Mayhem in the Plex. He is a high level player with his ability to stretch the floor and score from all three levels all while protect the rim. He is an efficient scorer with his back to the basket, and has an array of post moves and hook shots with either hand. He is aggressive down low, and uses his size to his advantage every chance he could, going at his defender’s chest and drawing fouls. His aggressiveness is also evident on the glass where his size and strength were often way too much for his opponents to deal with. He showed an ability to be the pick and roll, or out of the pick and pop with his ability to stretch the floor and knock down shots over the top of his opponents. He routinely made good decisions after setting hard screens to free up his lead guard, or slipping for an easy look at the rim. Seale is a high level prospect who should have an elite senior year next year with the ease in which he scores in the paint and from every inch of the court.
Jamie Archelle 2023 6’0 Foster High School, TX (CyFair Elite HTX 2023)
Jamie is a sharp shooting and two way combo guard who operates very well out of the corners and the wings. He is great at using his quick hands to wreak havoc all over the floor, there were instances in which he just straight up snatched the ball from his opponent and scored on the fast break. He also showed an awareness to play in the passing lanes and came up with a multitude of steals by being one step ahead of his opponents. He is an aware help defender as well, who is great at switching onto the right opponent no matter their size or aggressiveness. I was very impressed with his ability to go coast to coast after ripping the ball from his opponent. On the offensive end, he is always moving around to create confusion within the defense. He is a great shooter off the catch, and with his constant motion and energy that he gives off allows him to hunt easy shot opportunities.
Jacob Goode Jacob Goode 6'2" | SF Humble | 2023 TX 2023 6’2 Humble High School, TX (Hoop Lovers Inc 2023)
Jacob is a creative finisher in the paint with a real ability to adjust his shot angle to maneuver around his opponent’s outstretched arms. I was very impressed with the ease in which he finished at the rim. He is an aware player who is constantly moving without the basketball, in search of a weak point in the defense. His constant off ball cutting allows him to receive easy passes from his teammates right in the lane. He is great at keeping his opponent on his hip and turning the corner, allowing him to operate and force a second defender to come pick him up. He showed an ability to constantly make the right reads in this situation, and fire passes out to his shooter in the corners or a dump off pass to his bigs down low. Where he thrived after getting his defender on his hip or his back was simply exploding to the rim for an easy look. Goode has all of the offensive tools to become a dynamic high scoring weapon and facilitator at the guard spot.
