SEPA Prospects Named To PIAA 2A & 3A All-State Teams

Photo: Devon Prep Athletics[/caption] <p>Below is a review of the southeastern Pennsylvania prospects selected to the 2021-22 PIAA 2A and 3A all-state teams by basketball writes from across the state.</p> <p><strong><u>2A -- 1^st Team</u></strong></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="991231" first="Jacob" last="Beccles"]</strong> – <strong>6'3” / Senior / Constitution / Team Durant / Combo Guard:</strong> In 2021-22 Beccles played at an extraordinary level -- 23.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. The logo range on his jumper makes Beccles a threat the moment he crosses half-court. He can also use his elusive dribbles to score on the fast break or in the half-court. His athleticism and bounce allow him to play above the rim. During this year's state tournament Beccles averaged 21.6 ppg. while pushing the Generals to the 2A title game. Beccles scored over 1,400 points in his high school career. He will attend Lawrenceville Prep (NJ) next year for a post graduate season.</p> <p><strong><u>2A -- 2^nd Team</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Lamar Glover</strong> – <strong>5'10” / Senior / Constitution / We R1 / Wing</strong></p> <p><strong><u>3A -- 1^st Team</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Saraj Ali</strong><strong> – 6'4” / Senior / Loyalsock / Team Final Red / Wing:</strong> This makes back-to-back years that Ali was named as a PIAA 3A 1^st Team All-State selection. This time around he was also selected as the 3A POY. In 2021-22 Ali averaged 21 points, 13 and 6.5 assists per game. The highlight of his outstanding season came when he posted a doble-double of 35 points and 17 rebounds in the Heartland Athletic Conference Tournament title game. He is a long, athletic, three level scoring prospect with plenty of energy and bounce. During his decorated career Ali amassed over 1,000-points, won three straight District 4 titles and 2020-21 3A state title.</p> <p><strong>Argel Petit </strong><strong>– 6'2” / Senior / Devon Prep / We R1 / Combo Guard:</strong> Petit is a standout combo guard who used high percentage 3-ball shooting to set up his outstanding ability to score off the bounce. He is an elite level scorer who this past season posted a stat line of 15.3 points (35% from three), 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. When Petit is on the court, he impacts every facet of the game.
