6’1 2024 PG of Dougherty Valley had his game going early. The guard was steady throughout the morning contest running the offense, solid ball handling involving teammates with good passing, then scoring from different spots, using his quickness to get into the paint and pullup jumpers when needed down the stretch.
Game 2: Bay City Warriors Select 15u won a close one over Follow Through 50-46. 15U Platinum
Sometimes the player of the game goes to the losing team. Xan-Meyer- Plettner 6’4 2024 W/F of Oakland Tech. It was our first look at Plettner, he was on JV this past season. He’s a good player who we’ll see more of down the road. At this event he was effective in and around the basket on both ends using his length to score, rebound and, change some shot at the 15U level. He runs the court.
Game 3: Lakeshow 15U Boyd 60, Rose City 48. 15U Platinum
There were a few standouts on the winning team, but we’ll go with Jeremiah Faumuina 6’2 2024 guard of Oakland HS. He seems to enjoy playing the game. He has a good set of skills, he’s a quality passer with vision and a little flair to his game. He has the long arms to finish high off the glass while challenging inside. He was on JV last year, he’s on the Wright’s Watch List.
Game 4: Oakland Soldiers 15u EYBL 47, Lakeshow 16u Cameron 38. 16u Platinum.
After trailing by 8 with 6 minutes to go, the Soldiers EYBL tightened things up and won going away. This group has good chemistry led by Semetri Carr Semetri Carr 6'1" | PG Branson | 2025 State #95 Nation CA-N the 6’1 2025 PG of The Branson HS is a fast rising prospect in NorCal regardless of class. Stay tuned. (Featured)
Game 5: Bay City Warriors 16u Select – AC 41, Rose City 16u Rise 30. 16u Platinum.
Cole Boake Cole Boake 6'4" | CG University | 2024 State CA-N 6’2 2024 PG, CG, SG, of University, HS. He’s a rising player in this class who looks ready for a breakout Summer Live Period. The versatile guard has been consistent throughout the Spring. He effects the game in multiple ways, playing with the ball in his hands running the offense, or off ball looking to be an aggressive scorer.
Game 6: Lakeshow 17u Gonzalez 41, Bay City Warriors 17u Select AS 35. 17u Platinum
Aidan Carlson 6’2 2023 G/W of Serra HS. He’s one of those athletic players that contributes without having to score points. He’ll guard the other teams best guard or wing. He’s fast, strong, and long to defend multiple positions. He helps with the rebounding, and he’s good in transition. Every now and then he’ll get a bucket.
Game 7: WCE NorCal UAA 17u 50, Oakland Soldiers EYBL 16u 37. 17u Platinum.
This game was loaded with DI, and next level players on both sides. No matter the setting or competition Ryan Beasley Ryan Beasley 5'11" | PG Dougherty Valley | 2023 State #228 Nation CA-N the 5’11 2023 point guard from Dougherty Valley HS always seems to play his best game when PH NorCal is in the gym. He was the best player in the gym on Saturday. Opinion?
Game 8: Rose City 17u Rise 57, WCE NorCal UAA16 47. 17u Platinum.
We think Rose City Rise sent a message to this talented 16u group playing up a level. This game had quite few elite players as well on both sides, but Micah Johnston Micah Johnston 6'1" | PG Folsom | 2023 State CA-N the 6’0 guard from Folsom HS was the standout in this game. He’s having a good Spring leading this team into the Summer. He’s a confident guard who’s had consistent play.
