Take a look at the 17U Gamechangers from this past weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id="955602" first="Anquan" last="Boldin Jr"]. - 6’5 Wing/Guard - Ball4Lyfe United

Boldin Jr. continues to show his growth as an all-around player. He showed he could knock down shots off the bounce and off the catch, didn’t force things in their overtime victory and used his length/frame to work his way into free-throw opportunities when needed. Defensively, he’s meeting opponents at the rim, blocking shots and flying around making plays as well. His growth/development has been interesting to watch as the PrepHoops Circuit continues. He’s certainly a stock-rising gamechanger in the Passion Region.

[player_tooltip player_id="962569" first="Kyle" last="McNeal"] - 6’3 Guard - Ball4Lyfe United

Mcneal was another game-changing name with Ball4Lyfe United that showcased a nice blend of athleticism and sharp-shooting to make his presence felt at Gauntlet on the Gulf. He really picked things up on Day 2 with Boldin Jr. out with injury to show he can lead by example. He took over in their final game with a posterizing dunk going baseline to wake the gym up and used that energy to get a big victory. He’s a combo guard that brings the energy defensively and can knock down shots off the bounce and off the catch.

Jayden Pope - 6’5 Power Forward - Dream Team Basketball

Pope was a game-changing big man to watch at Gauntlet on the Gulf with Dream Team Basketball this past weekend. He used every bit of his frame to battle in the paint for position and buckets. When the ball wasn’t in his hands, he was battling on the boards on both ends to come up with the ball. He’s a prospect with a "first to the floor" mentality that was on full display all weekend as a gamechanger.

[player_tooltip player_id="1463340" first="Quamar" last="Hobbs"] - 6’5 Forward - G1 Sports

Hobbs was an impressive name in the G1 Sports rotation as a gamechanger this past weekend in Daytona. He’s a dual-forward prospect that can play inside and out given his mobility and length on the floor. He plays with a relentless motor as a rebounder and guy that flies around the rim on both ends of the floor. As he continues to show his growth, look for his name to grow in the 2023 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="1060257" first="Isaac" last="Edwards"] - 6’6 Forward/Wing - Jacksonville Trojans 2023

Edwards was an intriguing game-changing name with the Jacksonville Trojans 2023 group at Gauntlet on the Gulf. He showed off some versatility as a stretch-forward option that established position well down low to create opportunities but still step out and knock down shots at the high post. He showed he could get rebounds out of the net and bring the ball down the floor as well to setup offense. He’s a name to get to know out of Ica High School in the Jacksonville area.

Ronald Durham - 6’2 Guard - Jacksonville Trojans 2024

Durham didn’t show many signs of slowing down while leading the Jacksonville Trojans 2024 group as they played up on the 17U stage all weekend long, sporting a 4-0 record. He was a relentless downhill threat that showed he could operate on all three levels and create off the bounce and off the catch as a double-figure scorer. Defensively, he held his own and showed nothing would come easy for opponents. He’s a rising name to know in the 2024 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="1149246" first="Jaylen" last="Dopson"] - 6’2 Guard - Jacksonville Trojans 2024

Dopson was the other fast-starting gamechanger in the Jacksonville Trojans 2024 backcourt that showed off what he could do at Gauntlet on the Gulf this past weekend. He showed he could get to his spots off the bounce and knock down shots in the mid-range and on the perimeter to showcase what he could do as a combo guard prospect. He’s another 2024 name to get to know in the state of Florida.

Caden Douglass - 6’2 Guard - Lockwood Allstars (2024)

Douglass was another 2024 prospect that played up on the 17U stage with the Lockwood Allstars. He was a name that showed off his ability to score in a variety of ways on all three levels while finishing in double-figures on numerous occasions. He had solid instincts to take what the defense gave him and showed he could get to the paint and finish in traffic as well.

Aiden Cilladi - 6’5 Forward - Lockwood Allstars

Cilladi is another intriguing dual forward prospect that showcased his skillset at Gauntlet on the Gulf as a gamechanger. He showed he could step out on the perimeter and knock down 3-pointers and establish position down low and score around the rim with his length. He’s a name to keep an eye on with the Lockwood Allstars and in the 2023 class.

Theo Stephens - 6’1 Guard - North Florida United

Stephens is an emerging lead guard that continues to show his development in the North Florida United backcourt. He changed the game with his ability to knock down shots on all three levels, make plays for others and defend at a high level with his length and athleticism. He continues to show his development as a top name to know in the Passion Region.

[player_tooltip player_id="1060262" first="Kyle" last="Jones"] - 6’2 Guard/Wing - North Florida United

Jones was quite the gamechanger at the 2/3 position for North Florida United as he utilized all of his strength/frame on both ends of the floor to make his presence felt. He battled for boards, he flew around altering shots and got downhill to his spots when given opportunities. He’s another name in the North Florida United rotation to keep eyes on.

[player_tooltip player_id="1055784" first="Caleb" last="G. Williams"] - 5’11 Point Guard - OTOD 2023 (2024)

Williams was quite the playmaking gamechanger for OTOD 2023 at Gauntlet on the Gulf. He showed off his ability to make plays for others more than scoring as the floor general, showing he could breathe energy into the offense when needed. His biggest asset was his ability to defend and force turnovers at key moments for his squad as they played a number of close/competitive games all weekend long.

Israel Nuhu - 6’5 Forward - OTOD 2023

Nuhu was impressive in his return from injury for OTOD 2023 as a gamechanger around the rim. He showed off his length and athleticism as a defender, rebounder and shot-blocker while making quite the impact in the OTOD frontcourt on the weekend. He’s a budding name to watch in the 2023 class.

Ramiro Pando-Tristan - 6’5 Forward - Thunder Supreme

Pando-Tristan was another dual forward game-changing prospect on the 17U stage with Thunder Supreme. He showed he could operate inside and out on both ends of the floor while making hustle plays and creating opportunities for himself and others at all times. He’s quite the teammate to have as shown with his unselfish play on the floor.

Hunter Bostick - 6’1 Guard/Wing - Thunder Supreme

Bostick is another prospect with some versatility in his wheelhouse given his wingspan and athleticism for Thunder Supreme. He’s a name that showed his growth as a downhill threat, finisher in the paint and creator off the bounce in the Thunder Supreme backcourt this past weekend. He’s another 2023 name to track in the Passion Region.
