#MidwestGrindSession 2nd Team All 15U

<p>The 15U division at the Midwest Grind Session saw three competitive pools with a lot of young up and coming talent. The next series of articles will focus on our All Tournament Teams for the event. Scout and coaches input from around the divisions went into this. We will have 3 Teams for this age group and statistical output, watching full games, win/loss record, and overall play went into these decisions. Overall a great event for the players.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>2nd Team All 15U</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>G- Terrell King, 5’9, I Am 3: One of the better defenders on the weekend. Will pick up 94 ft. throughout the ball game, stays in front of guys, and forces a lot of tough entry’s while getting steals and deflections. The defensive end is where his biggest impact was made but on offense he is an open shot maker from three, gets to the foul line off the bounce, and can get downhill with either hand. Does not force the issue much and lets the game come to him.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>G- Will Otott, 6’1, SSA Elite 2025 White: Is one of those lead guards who impacted the games throughout the weekend in his teams 4-0 run at the Grind Session in more ways than the stat sheet. The strong guard with solid size rebounds it well, gets into the paint and distributes, and finishes in tight windows. Otott is a very efficient player who plays with great pace and you can tell the high level of varsity experience has paid off for him in these circuit games. Was the lead guard for the 4-0 SSA 2025 white team this weekend and helped get his teammates in great spots on the floor.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>G- [player_tooltip player_id="1444135" first="Korbin" last="Gunn"], 5’10, NLU 2025: A floor general in every aspect, spearheads a strong defensive approach by his club putting tons of pressure on the ball, plugging gaps, and even flying to rebound to start the break. Has a tremendous understanding of where to hit guys on the floor for them to succeed and is unselfish in transition. Has some scoring game as well attacking help well, getting downhill, and can spot up and knock it down. Had a great tournament weekend.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>F- Lincoln Cure, 6’5, WKE Blue: One of the better more pure big fellas in the 15U on the weekend. Can stretch it some but really like his game around the rim. Sound finisher with the ball, gets offensive boards and put backs, sets good screens, and has nice touch on the ball. On defense he alters shots, shows and plays long, and blocks shots. Cure plays with a solid motor and is a nice inside-out forward.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>F- Malik Lewis, 6’4, KC Spurs 2025: Was poised to be a double double threat in all 4 games this weekend at the Grind Session. Lewis has a knack for being around the ball on misses on both ends of the floor; on the offensive side of the floor he converts those to finishes or free throw attempts. Is great off cutting and catching and scoring it quickly, can face up in the mid post and rip drive, and has quick explosive back to the basket moves.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>G- Caden Hay, 5’9, Tulsa Impact 2025: A microwave of a scorer and was pivotal in a couple of second halves of wins for them throughout the weekend. One particular stretch had him rattle off 10 straight points on two tough contested threes and a couple of contested scores in the mid to painted area. Hay is crafty in his approach and had a really good looking shot and smooth handles.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
