Midwest Showdown: Saturday Afternoon Standouts at Winneconne

<p><strong>WINNECONNE-</strong> Find out which prospects from my Saturday afternoon at Winneconne High School really thread the needle as far as their talent levels on the hardwood.</p> <p><strong>Brooks Johnson | Starks Elite | 2025</strong></p> <p>Brooks was by far the most physical guard prospect I got to watch on Saturday afternoon. He showed such a physical ability on getting to the basket and had to be the best at it from what I saw from Saturday all day at Winneconne. He also showed off elite balance when taking it to the tin which is something I love to see out of a younger high school prospect. Brooks has a ton of length he shows off with his game and has that clutch gene he can turn on at any time, especially at the end of the game against Minnesota Crossfire which was a nailbitter until the end.</p> <p><strong>Gianni Artisensi-Skime | Minnesota Crossfire Young | 2025</strong></p> <p>Gianni was locked in defensively in the first game I watched from Saturday afternoon. He played very aggressive defense and remained consistent with that skill set throughout the game I watched on Saturday. The 6’0 guard prospect is one I will be following over the coming years from my local Sherburne County area.</p> <p><strong>Jack Schager | Big 3 Basketball | 2025</strong></p> <p>Jack was another late afternoon guard prospect that blossomed nicely from my eyes. Jake showed off as efficient 3-level scorer that showed a great finished product when it came to his shot selection. He showed ample consistency in both half’s I got to watch by showing that versatile shooting stroke throughout. A Glenbard North prospect that has some upside for the future.</p> <p><strong>Nathan Hromadka | Minnesota Fury 2025 Narum | 2025</strong></p> <p>Nathan showed strong activity in the passing lanes from what I watched on Saturday afternoon. He showed active hips that could move with with some strength, as well as showed upside as a two-level scorer too. Found out Nathan plays a little football too for the Maple Grove Crimson, which certainly helps working his balance on the low block.</p> <p><strong>Luke Loehlein | Minnesota Fury 2025 Narum | 2025</strong></p> <p>Watching Luke’s progression from baseline to baseline was a great watch on Saturday afternoon. This young man showed terrific speed not just on fast breaks but with keyed in composure to add to it. This kid plays a very balanced brand of basketball from the guard spot and watching that balance really assisted Minnesota Fury 2025 Narum strongly to victory over Illinois Elite 2025. Looking forward to watching this Prior Lake prospect in his bright future that I saw glimpses of on Saturday.</p> <p><strong>Lashawn Gaitright | Illinois Elite 2025 | 2025</strong></p> <p>Lashawn to me was one of the bigger bright spots to this Illinois Elite 2025 squad. His ability to be elusive defensively with a  calm demeanor shown off was one of the best skill sets I saw from this young man. He carried a high physicality level and was played fearless defense. Lashawn showed great speed on the floor, and with some development with his controlling his tempo, he will be a solid prospect for Rockford Jefferson in the coming years.</p> <p><strong>One More Prospect of Note:</strong></p> <p><strong>Yovani Perea | 24:Up | 2025</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
