Day one of the Prep Hoops Midwest Showdown is complete! I was at Winneconne High School where I'll be all weekend, here are some players that had notable performances on night one.

Liam Lubkeman (6'8 2025 C, [program_tooltip program_id='2078838' first='World' last='Hoops Elite'])- Lubkeman dominated the interior on Friday night. Multiple blocks and countless shots altered left opposing ball-handlers second-guessing their decision to drive on Lubkeman. On the other end, he has great touch. With his back to the basket, his footwork is elite. He extends his game out to the mid-range where he's comfortable taking open jumpers. He's a good screener which opened up many driving opportunities for his team. He cleaned everything up on the glass and played physical basketball all night. He is a force to be reckoned with on the inside.

[player_tooltip player_id="1289137" first="Preston" last="Fields"] (5'11 2025 G, All Wisconsin AAU)- Fields is a consistent playmaker for his team and it all starts on defense. He loves to poke the ball loose and get steals; in a full-court, man-to-man, trapping press, he obtained a handful. Once he's turned you over, it's off to the races as he wants to push in transition. He plays under control, and through the use of ball fakes, he constantly finds the open man. He's tough at the rim and uses a series of elusive moves to convert fancy lay-ups.

Jamison Beesley (6'2 2025 W, [program_tooltip program_id='2078838' first='World' last='Hoops Elite'])- Beesley has eyes on the back of his head. He's a stockier ball-handler who I would consider to be a point forward. His vision is superb and he's constantly throwing outlet passes that start the break. He's got a good turn-around jumper and shoots the three-ball. He uses his body to keep the ball away from defenders as he maneuvers his way into the key. The big men on his team had many easy lay-ups due to Beesley's skill to get into the paint and find the open man.

[player_tooltip player_id="1456954" first="Riley" last="Mueller"] (5'11 2025 G, All Wisconsin AAU)- Mueller can flat out shoot it. A lightning-quick release allows him to rise up and shoot over taller defenders. He can shoot off the dribble or in a catch-and-shoot situation. He is a three-level scorer and a primary ball-handler. What's most impressive is his talk, he's a vocal leader on both sides of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="1289144" first="Isaiah" last="Robinson"] (6'1 2025 PG, 24:UP Mlachnik)- Robinson plays a cool and collected brand of basketball. As the lead guard for his squad, he controls the pace. He plays tough and has great body control which helps him muscle through bigger defenders once in the paint. With a full head of steam, he's nearly unstoppable. Robinson is most effective when he is directing traffic on O. He sets up his teammates for easy baskets using an array of dribble moves.

Devin Isaj (6'4 2025 W, 24:UP Mlachnik)- Isaj is a long lefty that plays with great confidence. A mean left-to-right crossover leaves defenders clueless as he lunges towards the rim. As a 6'4 wing who shoots it, he opens things up when he stretches the floor. He looks comfortable handling the rock and loves to get out and push in transition. On offense, he's a threat in all areas of the floor and scores the ball with ease.
