Magic City Classic: 2023 Top Performers

Deuce was attacking the cup at will with good explosion to the basket and finishing on contact. Lloyd took 3 charges today to my counting and finished with several assists. Darren really sees the floor well and finds open teammates with his very unselfish play. He likes to pull-out the old school bounce pass to by defenders. Merel has a great set of hands and a soft touch inside the paint. He has the ability to play face-up from the elbow or short corner at times. Derrick needs to be a halftime entertainment show at times with his athleticism around the rim and ENERGY. Today was a little different for Derrick has he connected on 5 three pointers on his way to 27 points unofficially according to my scoring. Johnell will take and make some tough shots. He likes to attack the cup and stalk the baseline at times. Johnell can create his own shot and really seemed quite effective with a nice mid-range pull-up game. Jacques really looks to defend and be quite disruptive on the defensive end of the floor. Horace has good court awareness and craftiness to lead from out top with his play. </p>
