The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop 7 brings us to the Pacific Northwest and Portland Oregon, where almost 30 teams are competing. The event saw several snipers perfecting their craft. In this article, we take a look at the top shooters from the event.
Andrew Deedon 6’2 SG Idaho Premiere 2023 – 20 years from now Deedon is going to be one of those guys serving up buckets in rec leagues. The sharpshooter showed no fear, and maximum confidence, knocking down shots from all over the court. He displayed range out to past the NBA three-point line on the day.
Kaden Bethel 6’3 SG Taylor Made 2023 – Bethel made his presence felt with his three-point shooting. The sharpshooter was able to change the scoreboard with his three-point shooting, knocking down several shots behind the arc. The 6’3 sniper proved to be one of the top weapons for Taylor Made on the week.
Jared Sucher Jared Sucher 6'4" | SG Sherwood | 2023 State OR 6’4 SG Team Fly 2023 – Sucher had himself a week. The sniper was nearly flawless when it came to knocking down treys. He was six for six on Saturday, and followed that up with a strong performance on Sunday, banging home a couple of trifectas. Sucher has a good stroke and proved to be accurate for distance.
Luke Brewer Luke Brewer 6'2" | PG Tumwater | 2023 State WA 6’2 SG Roots Academy 2023 (featured image) – I really wanted to add Brewer to my wings category, as he showed that he can do several things, however, his shooting was simply too good to ignore. Brewer was able to change the scoreboard with a sweet stroke, banging home several threes in the game I watched. He gets his shot off quickly and is accurate from distance. Brewer buried numerous threes for Roots this weekend, earning himself a spot on the list
Xavier Cox 6’1 SG IE Fire 2025 – What else is there to say about Cox? The sharpshooter displayed one of the prettiest strokes at the event and then went ham. He put on the performance of all performances, knocking down 10 threes in the game against no Fear. The young shooter gets his shot off quickly and with accuracy, making him one of the top shooters on the circuit to date.
Matthew Verkamp Matthew Verkamp 6'4" | SF Sherwood | 2023 State OR SG Team Fly 2023 – Vercamp is a good-looking shooter, that barely moved the net in his appearance on Sunday He showed terrific prep work and knocked down more than his share of corner threes. The senior sharpshooter was one of the best knockdown specialists on the day.
